14/5/2024 10:59 | Potentially very interesting news. There is an article in the Times newspaper this morning announcing the planning application by RWE for a green hydrogen plant at Grangemouth in Scotland. Initially for 200MW expanding to 600MW, plant being operational in 2029. The timing is very good because: a) INEOS who operate a large part of Grangemouth have announced they intend to close their oil refinery there and turn it into a fuel import and distribution centre. So, lots of jobs to be lost with associated 'anti North Sea oil' political stink. b) New Green jobs is top political priority for SNP administration - who have just changed leadership and doing a very abrupt (re)turn to being pro-business and economic growth. This ticks all those boxes. c) Grangemouth is the site of a large refinery and associated Petro-Chem manufacturing complex - hence all issues about planning for this type of industry e.g. blast zoning are well understood and there will be none of the delays that we have seen from farmers at the Whitelees site. This will get approved and it will be approved quickly. | bmel
14/5/2024 07:57 | I am hoping ITM will today act to enhance its claim for best in class Neptune V by some event endorsing that claim. An order from a new or existing client for the launch product would be great. | norbus
13/5/2024 23:24 | Latest post from Dennis - "An exhausted ITM Team unwinding after an extremely busy but not less productive first day at the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition in Rotterdam. Our recent NEPTUNE V announcement together with a transparent product price landed really well in the market, and were certainly the talk of the town. NEPTUNE V is the best performing, most compact and most competitive full scope 5 MW PEM electrolyser system available today. We're still here tomorrow - use the opportunity and meet the ITM experts at our stand!" | sonic25
13/5/2024 11:28 | The £4.35m cost equates to £870/kW ($1,090/kW), compared to the $1,200-$2,000/kW for PEM systems estimated by a recent EY Parthenon report. Designed for use in mid-size green hydrogen projects, Dennis Schulz, CEO of ITM, said the company expects demand to be “strong,” Tim Calver, Vice-President Commercial at ITM, added, “The Neptune V has clear, competitive pricing and optimised footprint – our product aim is to help our customers confidently deliver projects up to 60MW in scale.” | norbus
12/5/2024 15:28 | Additional comment from the CEO on LinkedIn “ …this is the best performing, most compact and competitive 5MW unit in the PEM space worldwide. Nothing to hide here - and somebody has to have the guts to be the first to establish mature pricing transparency.” | mugwire
11/5/2024 23:02 | Well spotted. ITM used to list the world and his wife as customers. Now it lists 7 inclùding Galp & on another list , there are 3 other customers listed { Oersted, Scottish Power and Snam} | norbus |
