Explaining percentages to ami (AMI)

OK folks it's the weekend , sorry if you came to this thread expecting something great but here goes;
My daughter , 9 years old top group in maths but can not get her head around percentages so she asked me to explain them to her........i can't do it, can't find any way to explain it so she will understand.
