Part 2 ami, till suspension and administration last week

forwood 7 Nov'14 - 02:00 - 2902 of 5287 0 0

Have bought back in here. Today's price action into close suggests to me market makers were working a big sell order which hopefully was completed with the 1m at close.

If Timis has got enough access to cash to buy London Mining, he's probably got enough for AMI as well. I don't buy the 'drive it into admin so Timis can buy it cheap' theory but there's clearly something to be said for a merger of the two operations. Can't see how T can be 'arm's length' when he's the chairman of both so either they merge or he resigns from one.

On many occasions he has people not to sell

In the last week we've got used to the idea of AMI being priced at 10p a share rather than 16 - 20p+ it's been for the previous month. Why it fell to 10p is a mystery to me, and can only be explained by II selling and shorts riding it down on fears of another Lond. However FT's purchase of Lond should have been the signal that it wasn't ever going to happen. Capital resources don't appear to be a problem for him, so why should they be a problem for AMI?

I think those who paid 16p will see their money back and more before too long.”

BW they had some idea because SISG board member voted against timis acquiring LONDBarclays also agreed to finance ami in august but Hird turned down deal for whatever reason and then all prospects went South when 50m payment came to light

You really believe frank Timis holds shares ??? He has either hedged or sold every last share unofficially.

True, but did he know at the time he put the money into LOND that AMI was going to go south to that extent?Plus any injection of funds would likely have needed SISG consent.Where he went wrong was putting any money into LOND at all. Also, the 50mm payment to the consultancy company was BS. Should never have happened. Will be extremely difficult to prove negligence to the extent that the board has personal liability.

BW I think the point is Timis acted not in the best interests of the company causing SISG to pull funds, SISG then buy AMI out of admin for nowt. So point is SISG willing to fund but TIMIS/AMI board in their action had screwed investors.Remember timis magically pulled 50m from thin air to buy LOND, while he could have used that money to buy a small slice of AMI n we wouldn't b screwed, why should SISG fund AMI when it's founder wasted his cash on a diff company

Timis has lost a few hundred million quid in share value but apparently he did it on purpose.
