The exclusivity deal looks too restrictive and is stopping Ocado linking up with other grocers? Should Ocado ask for a renegotiation of the jv deal to allow it to sign other partnering deals?

Has the exclusivity cfc deal with Kroger limited Ocado from tapping the US grocery market? Kroger's proposed takeover of Albertson seems to have created a moratorium on new cfcs? If there is a moratorium should Ocado be paid for waiting or be permitted to form other partnerships with other US grocers? Ocado's growth should not be set by one partner's m&a strategy. Ocado needs to regain control of its growth and profitability.

Has exclusivity CFC deals stymied Ocado’s growth when any partner opts to buy a supermarket competitor and, in the uncertain takeover period, freezes the cfc rollout programme till the merger is completed?
