MCKINNEY, Texas, Oct. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Lifeblue
today announced that digital strategist and innovator Nicki Purcell has been named the company's Chief
Executive Officer. Purcell has a diverse background in executive
leadership – including media, marketing, sales and product
development – and specializes in leading companies through digital
transformations.
She plans to diversify the menu of client services at Lifeblue,
a digital strategy and services company whose mission is to help
companies grow their social, cultural or economic impact on the
world. The McKinney-based company
is 12 years old.
"I'm excited to be at Lifeblue because of the opportunity in
front of us," said Purcell, formerly Chief Digital Officer and
Senior Vice President at The Dallas Morning News. "Our ability to
build experiences for our clients contributes to a much larger
purpose, and the people who work here all have that mission – to be
a part of something bigger."
Purcell plans to add software platform and product delivery to
Lifeblue's broad-ranging list of services that has been built on
expertise in digital strategy and business consulting as well as
web design and digital platform development.
"When people come to Lifeblue, they come for the insight we have
gained over the years working with many different industries and
clients," Co-founder and Chief Experience Officer Phillip Blackmon said. "While we've seen
significant revenue growth year over year, we believe now is the
right time to transition our business so we can make an even bigger
impact. Adding seasoned executive stewardship is a critical step
toward reaching our goals."
Before she left The News earlier this year, Purcell led the
newspaper's transition to a digital-first media company, delivering
a better consumer product experience, along with growth in audience
market share and in new forms of revenue. Before joining The News
in 2013, Purcell worked as Head of Operations for North America at Nokia, Head of Business
Development for Firehouse Agency, Inc., and Senior Global Brand
Manager at Nortel Networks.
