28/5/2024 21:10 | Customer on LinkedIn has a few choice words to say about YU and his broker - put a complaint in to Ofgem and his local MP.Okay it's only one customer and sure there's more who are okay with the service but who knows (google: YU Energy's fight with Ombudsman). Would post up the comments but best not to given the accusations that are made. Was more interested in their clear use of third part energy brokers. | ![]() disc0dave46

28/5/2024 10:49 | Just been fact checking as I always do post 6314 by Sparky.Just for clarity, the increases in revenue he quoted from their FY23 AR is for their forward order book (which is one year ahead), not income on the P&L.In previous years this data has been stated in their AR in one form or another (as there is generally no consistency) but definitively, ie FY22 AR they stated their forward order book for FY23 was £247m, but this time they seem to be saying it's not yet confirmed for FY24?, so their average contract period is c 30 months but they can't confirm the growth for FY24?, also if it is £520m that's more than twice the previous year but forecast eps growth is only 1.3%. Something doesn't seem to add up!. Perhaps ES or Sparky et al can enlighten me / us?. | ![]() disc0dave46

27/5/2024 11:17 | Given their house broker is only forecasting significantly lower earnings growth this FY (mind you that will be Rawsons forecast so lorry load of salt required IMO), is that because the majority of their customer contracts at significant margin are due to terminate this FY?. | ![]() disc0dave46
27/5/2024 11:09 | Sparky"But like all these things it is down to when the contract signed upto some people went through the entire energy crisis locked in at very low prices. Next door will say where's the evidence well your about to get it whether a TU or H1 numbers which are weaker compared to H2"Yep, at last, so why do you post every day what the spot price of gas is and jump up and down as it goes up?Their average contract period is what?, 30 months, what percentage of their customers are now overpaying (when compared to your spot price or even the prices offered by competitors) locked in and on 100% fixed tariffs?.Given since Feb 2021 gas prices have gone up 424% and electricity prices by 349% it's no surprise is it that their profits have increased by a similar rate!. | ![]() disc0dave46

27/5/2024 11:01 | People talk about elevated energy prices 2023 average was 83p a therm this year due to the winter spike This year it is fascinating to watch as we are actually better by a very high percentage low 50s v low 80s compared to 2023 and autumn / winter hasn't even started futures for Nov, Dec and Jan last time I looked way over 100p a therm. But like all these things it is down to when the contract signed upto some people went through the entire energy crisis locked in at very low prices. 27/5/2024 10:11 | Sparkys read the AR for the very first time!, amazing :).....because he's been reading my posts haven't you chap!.So what's the annual growth in the volume of energy they supplied year to year?. As posted last AR was the first time they've given that data from what I've read. So come in Spsrky et al, forget the number of meter points and number of customers as it's irrelevant, from 2014 to 2022 what's been the annual growth rate in the volume of energy they supply?, no KPI's on that, Why?.Not rocket science to see that their five fold increase in pbt (and +65% Rev) against only a c28% increase in energy supplied was down to the very elevated prices they must have been able to charge their customers given the significant increase in energy prices on the market / forward hedging contracts. | ![]() disc0dave46

26/5/2024 20:06 | Having a look back at the trading statement of last year in September. At that point 31/8/23 they had contracted revenue of £358m for 2024.that’s an average addition of £44.75m per month for the eight months. In the update at the agm (2024) I would say at worst 4.5 months of this year they have added revenue for 2025 of £306m.that’s an additional rate of £68.0 m per month. They don’t give a date for the figure of £306m so at best it could be 4 months £76.5m a month.I would think 4.5 months is reasonable for this analysis That is a 50% increase on last years rate based on the £68m figure. On last years given figure in August we have so far added £162m to get to the £520m figure. We still have approx 7months to go to add additional to this. So looks pretty good so far for this year and next. So appears to me we are gaining clients at an increasing rate. ( just wondering NG how that fits in with your figures that you gave a while back?) | ![]() fidra

26/5/2024 14:53 | Sparky"SNN on LSE mentioned possibly TU Tuesday. Will have to wait and see"Are you saying someone on a BB knows more than anyone else / insider info?, or are you actually posting up complete rubbish as usual?.SNN (ShareNicelyNow) last post on the 23rd was: "IR website updated calendar and AGM page. No mention of a TU."So where do you get a TU Tuesday? and I'm assuming by Tuesday you meant the 28th May?.Folks DYOR as some folks next door are deliberately posting false / misleading info! | ![]() disc0dave46
25/5/2024 19:06 | Afternoon SparkyDo you know how much growth there's been in terms of the energy they actually supply? They have to know and forecast how much energy their customers are likely to need but never divulge that info, or use that as a KPI, why is that?.The number of meters and the number of customers doesn't really represent or correlate with growth in income does it?Why would they exclude any TU with the AGM results, after at first informing the market they would, then 5 days later issue an update but not inform the market?....doesnt stack up but hey you prefer rumour and fantasy to fact :) | ![]() disc0dave46 |
