@ GoodGrief - "London Stock Exchange own PrimaryBid."

Can you provide evidence for this?

Companies House filings state that there is no significant control (ie. 25%+).
LSE announced on 26/10/20 that:

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) announces today that it has made a minority investment in PrimaryBid, a technology platform which connects retail investors with listed companies raising capital. The investment was made as part of PrimaryBid’s $50m Series B funding round announced today and builds upon London Stock Exchange’s existing collaboration with PrimaryBid. As a result of the investment LSEG will hold a circa 9%* stake in PrimaryBid and Charlie Walker will join the Board as a non-Executive Director. PrimaryBid’s platform has enabled retail investors to participate in over 41 capital raisings by companies and investment funds on London Stock Exchange’s Main Market and AIM so far this year.

So why do they claim to have no influence over trading platforms - just tell'em to get it done by first day, simples. Perhaps LSE don't want unfair competition from humble PIs!

There's a new IPO from PR in the offing for which Equiniti is the broker - do you think that will make any difference?

PB use Jarvis to collect there money from investors, although - I stand corrected - Jarvis do not own PB. But I wonder if x-o which is owned by Jarvis get their shares on day 1. I asked them and they said they couldn't possibly comment - a great example of keeping PIs in the dark so the professionals can make money off them more easily.

Anyone here used x-o - any views?

Agreed donaferentes.....early days but this does need sorting. Fortunately my CBX shares arrived in II quite promptly (early pm on 1st day of trading) but not so for another issue.....

They didn't charge me to transfer to Eqiniti. Pretty sure they don't charge anyone. The real issue is which platform will have the shares in your account by first day of trading - a massively significant problem with the recent CBX IPO where many PIs missed out on the bubble prices on day 1.

Re Primary Bids....I have accounts with II and AJ Bell and transfers have been free in both cases...

Primary Bid charges for transfer of shares to some brokers. Any one knows which broker has a free transfer? Was Jarvis one of them? What is Jarvis like as a broker?

Hi BT - a bit flighty perhaps, but even a mere 2% turn is worth taking in just 48hrs!

....or maybe not 😀
Share price has certainly been disappointing of late - IMO the strength of £ vs $ a key factor, but I continue to remain bullish on the U story so will remain patient.

Yes very tight timescales but the fact remains that the capital raise was very well supported and increased from $110m to $140m.
Over 1.5m new shares issued via PrimaryBids so quite a lot of support from retail investors including myself.........

Very bullish for the uranium sector. That's at least another 3.5m pounds that will be taken off the market. It only takes a couple of deals like this one to light up the sector. This is very good news.

Sorry, I've misread - the Placing Price for the Retail Placing is indeed the fixed price of the Placing. Thanks everyone for your patient help!

End of the day, I think I'll stick to battery metals and leave you better informed guys to run with this one.

So if the placing price is fixed and the retail price is the same as the placing price then logically the retail price is also fixed. It can't be any other way.

That is the only logical answer, I agree, but it's not what the RNS says which makes a clear distinction between Fixed Price for the Placing and Placing Price for the Retail Placing.
