Disjointed movement again - could you do a matched pair trade perhaps?

Yes, they seem a bit disjointed, could probably make a cheeky trade between the two of them, if I could figure it out?

Yes, monitoring them as well, waiting for a discount to Nav, but interesting to see them move out of step...

It's slightly more subtle, the recycling of the old arms (which will presumably end now) was displacing demand....Highly-enriched uranium from weapons stockpiles has been displacing some 8850 tonnes of U3O8 production from mines each year, and met about 13% to 19% of world reactor requirements through to 2013.

Somewhere I have seen a sankey diagram, which shows the end uses of global uranium production. This would give us an indication of how material weapons are in the overall scheme of things. Damned if I can find it now though. I will share it here if I ever do find it

Yes, but a starting gun for an arms race around the world, for nuclear weapons, must influence the demand for the raw materials (and also building more power stations to feed them)...

And yca purchase at $27.34, as apeman says, is already looking good value

Very much doubt it zcap. This is all due to various producers announcing that they are buying from spot market, imo

I'm not an expert, but did the nuclear weapon announcement from UK gov make a difference here?

The rising price of U308 bodes well for the purchase of 440Klb at $27.34/lb :-)

Yes, that's my fear, the underlying jump in nav is actually more than the jump in the share price, and technically I should buy... Happy to sit on the sidelines to be honest, for now.

And #1 producer Kazatomprom announced this morning that “We will evaluate our inventories and it’s possible we will buy material from market” Global inventories are very opaque, so who knows how close we are getting to that inflexion point, where there is no yellowcake available, whatever the price?

@zcap GCL was actually at a discount to NAV on open yesterday. It opened at 33.xp, and the NAV as at close of 12/3 was 34.15p (although this NAV wasn't published until later) When today's NAV is published, it may well show that this morning's open was also at a discount.

With an ICL due in a few weeks you might get in again after scalping here. But after Denisons' actions in the uranium market last night I consider the current price a bargain. Yet I do not hold YCA. My board ( GCL ) is as quiet as the night. Uranium is still under the radar of most mining investors let alone generalists.

Indeed Sky....a decent turn for us both then.... History suggests we will both be back in before long!!!
