Freight is a hot sector to be in.This snippet from DX Group's trading update today :

Revenue growth at DX Freight is now expected to be around GBP10 million higher than previously anticipated. This has been driven by significantly increased volumes, both from existing customers and through new customer wins. As a result, the Board anticipates that DX will significantly exceed existing market expectations for adjusted profit before tax in the current financial year, with an associated improvement in operating cash flows.

I'm looking forward to statement from next months AGM and a formal trading update in July.

I'm convinced XPD's business's will also be very busy !!!

I was happy to buy at 55 ,54 , 52.9 was even better,and IF it does fall a bit further then i'll try a to add if the MM's allow.

The share price will recover to higher than previous highs this year.With the AGM in June followed by 6 months Trading Update in July.

The company has already stated that Q1 was slightly ahead of the board's expectations.

zico...I managed to accumulate £95pp on SBs after noticing I couldn't get an online quote for 5k shares, so equivalent of 9.5k shares

You did well to get 18885 shares :) Showing as a sell because of the delay in reporting when the share price had partially recovered in the meantime - about time this sort of thing was sorted out

Fall overdone i've added 18885 @ 52.9p not showing (will be reported delayed)to my holdings.

In auction atm but price has increased to 53 v 54 as i type

Should get a trading update on 8th June then. Looking weak at the moment. Will look to top up trading position around 50p if it gets near there.

Hi svend2...I use dummy trades on Equiniti. Their system appears to check if there is stock available before checking whether I have sufficient cash in my account. AJ Bell is the other way around as far as I can tell so I can't do it with them.

In the old days Selftrade (now Equiniti) actually used to advise how many shares were available (within market quoted prices, that is) before even requesting a dummy trade.

Looking out for a potential trade on this drop.

The 20k buy @ 61p reported late must have been the reason for the tick up before the close but there were still plenty of shares available to buy after that tick up so held off with the trade for the moment.

Xpediator (LON:XPD) – driving ahead now

Last Monday, this freight management group announced its finals to end-December last year. They pleased the market, which upped its shares in response.

The sales increased 3.7% to £221.2m, with an admirable 38.5% leap in adjusted pre-tax profits to £7.2m, generating 3.84p in earnings per share. Even the dividend was up 12.8% at 1.5p per share.



It helped the group that it managed to cut a lot of its costs in March last year and it benefited from a strong fourth-quarter performance.

Already the new senior management team is delighted at its Q1 trading, coming in far better than expectations.

Taking advantage of a better share price and a tricky trading background generally, the group has a number of acquisitions in mind, especially as its ambition is to become a leading international freight management and logistics provider.

Analyst Robin Byde at Zeus Capital is going for £237.6m sales this year, generating £7.7m profits and 4p of earnings.

Peter Renton at Cenkos Securities rates the shares as a ‘buy’, looking for much the same estimates.

From 56p on Monday, the shares end the week at around the 65p level.

My view is that the new management structure now in place should be given their time and space and allowed to push the group further ahead as it progresses its growth strategy.

The shares are now a good hold and I hope they will get up to my price objective. Just give it time.
