10/4/2017 11:47 | The new April issue of Master Investor magazine has set up a portfolio of 10 high yielding AIM-quoted small caps which might grow "from acorns to oak trees". Amongst them are XLM (and SCH, which I also own) with 5%+ yields, though neither are featured at length in this first feature: "While AIM shares might trade at a low price for many reasons other than a market downturn, investors should reprice high yielding stocks eventually regardless of their size if they are of sufficient quality. So there should be a decent chance of the method working in a smallcap context and there might also be the opportunity for enhanced gains given the higher growth potential of smaller companies." | rivaldo
07/4/2017 16:37 | Nice write up on the fool website the other day: Also offering a relatively high yield is XLMedia (LSE: XLM). It has a yield of 5.7% from a dividend which is covered 1.7 times by profit. This shows that the current payout ratio is sustainable and could even increase at a faster pace than profit over the medium term. Clearly, as a growth company, a relatively large proportion of profit will need to be reinvested, but a dividend coverage ratio, which is slightly lower, could easily be justified. With XLMedia forecast to record a rise in its bottom line of 9-10% per annum over the next two years, dividend growth is likely to easily beat inflation. The company’s current strategy appears to be working well and its publishing business in particular seems to be growing at a fast pace. It is also enjoying some success at diversifying away from the gambling sector and towards a wider range of industries. Likewise, its largest customer now accounts for 7% of revenues. This reduces its risk profile and could mean its dividend is more robust. With a P/E ratio of 10.2, XLMedia seems to offer excellent value for money given its outlook. While it is a relatively small company and therefore comes with a degree of risk due to its size, it could prove to be a strong income play over the medium term. | ponyten
07/4/2017 12:19 | Steveo's post of course highlights that even with no share price growth at all (highly unlikely I'll grant you, but anyway...), investors will still receive almost a 6% dividend yield. Including today's dividend payment of around 3p per share, investors will receive 9.2p of dividends over the next year - that's a mere 8.6% yield :o)) | rivaldo
07/4/2017 11:58 | rivaldo - i heard this speech a few times now no ned for another. | oneillshaun

06/4/2017 14:16 | From Today's Shares mag... BULL CASE ON XLMEDIA APPROXIMATELY 2,300 websites are used by XLMedia’s (XLM:AIM) publishing division to drive users to its clients’ gambling and social gaming platforms. Berenberg, which rates the shares a ‘buy’ with a 150p price target, reckons only a 100 of these are generating substantial revenue with the remainder in ‘build-up̵ It is optimistic the publishing arm could beat a 13% growth estimate for 2017. | someuwin
