Well, given that there does seem to be a common problem some users are experiencing ..... then PERHAPS ADVFN CAN make a COMMENT on this thread on it?

Yes, I know they said they wouldn't be monitoring this after the end of today .... but is it the end of today yet?

Le Mass Du Pap & Don Muang - you are describing exactly what I've been experiencing recently - constantly freezes and I have to clear temp files & cookies and when that doesn't work go back several pages and Control R to refresh the page and then retrace back - it is such a pain! Half the time I can't get charts to work at all. This used to be a great service & I was thinking about getting a subscription until all the problems started. ADVFN please do something about it - I don't want to leave ;0(

LMDP.... many years ago I had a subscription service with one provider ..... but they couldn't resolve a problem without me having a postcode (and as I was outside UK then didn't have one) - as they were somewhat offhand about it then moved on to a different providers subscription service .... they were OK for ages .... then they got taken over by an Aussie outfit and various problems followed... so moved on to advfn ..... only gripe up until recently was that you have to contact them on a national rate (0870) number to talk to someone ....

I was going to upgrade as well, but with the problems I'll go somewhere else and start afresh. I don't want to, but it's become an unnecessary hindrance. This would be, and was, a great site if it worked properly.

Le Mass Du Pap .... thanks for letting us know specifics of your problem ..... ties in with what I've experienced recently as well ..... certain aspects of advfn mean I'll be staying with the subscription service I'm already on ..... was planning to upgrade further ..... but with all the hassles I won't be doing so .....

I'm cancelling my subscription. Had nothing but hassle trying to get on here over the last few weeks. Had the 'technical difficulties' page twice trying to get on this thread! FFS! Going to 'a competitor' where it always works, without fail. Can't get charts, monitor, bulletin board etc half the time. It freezes up so I have to clear cookies/temp internet files etc three or four times a day. It used to be fine, worked a treat but recently it's useless. No doubt I'll be told it's me or my computer at fault as usual. Others have had the same problems. Are you going to sort it out or shall I get me coat?

Why is the ftse delayed, i pay a monthly premium?
Could you put the aim on the list as i can`t find it.

Tadtech:

The programmes you refer to probably almost certainly will have a (different) delay in their price data.

You receive the FTSE delayed by 15 minutes and your Dow feed is real time on ADVFN. At 13:40 or so the FTSE was down 20 points, the delay on your TV show is probably causing the anomaly.

You need a subscription to see the FTSE indices in real time, otherwise they will appear 15 minutes delayed, if you would like to upgrade your subscription or want to know more about our services please give us a call on 0870 794 0236.

I wish to enquire about the Dow and Footsie 100 ADVFN tickers (monitor) being live and accurate.

I notice that on numerous TV business programmes that they do not correlate.

For example at 13.66pm today Business Lunch showed to Footsie down over 200 points yet the ADVFN monitor showed it down only 150 approx at the same time.

I also noticed yesterday the DOW was also not correlating either, in this case the DOW had recovered into positive territory (shown on CNBC) yet ADVFN ticker showed it still around 100 points down.

Can someone from ADVFN explain please.

The charts on the some BB's (e.g. TAN)seem to have lost the last hour or so of share price fluctuations although the end share price seems to be correct.

I mentioned earlier about fixing the live streaming charts.

Take a look at the ADVFN home page today to see how hopelessly behind the 'live streaming' the index charts are.

We do not currently have the DOW futures on our site. We are looking into getting it added, but we do not have a time set at the moment.
