Oxford Nano can easily be worth >1.2Bn £.
Always wondered why it's used in non-lab environs?
Think about it, even in space and the jungle.
Why? Think.about it for a while?
Is the world in a lab?
How about moving the lab into the world?
The ambition is big and they are getting there.

I founded a company that first listed on OFEX. I know ALL about small company investing, its capital requirements, valuations and everything else there is to know about start-ups etc..

Ignore me if you like. Your loss.

My investment here made about 14% return. I sold out and haven't bought back in. As far as my investment performance here goes: I make yours look sadly lacking.

So shut-up and start to learn from those that actually know what they are talking about.

Kpoo .....18 pct down since inception in a bull market. Who is the true loser here I wonder.

They keep on coming, those know-everything small unsuccessful "investors" stung almost to death by their own incompetent timing. The last/fourth is, of course, the biggest loser and the most incoherent poster on this whole thread. LOL

Oxford Whale - I read the seekingalpha article and note that it was written by people who are not currently long or short in wpct. For me this report was a devastating final straw and I am in the process of selling all but a tiny rump of my holding here, having remained a "true believer" since launch and despite the horrendous errors made by NW. This report shows me yet again, in a way that can no longer be ignored, that NW is part of a bubble when it comes to his biotech investments - very dodgy valuations of private companies, which get ever dodgier with each new round of funding from the same small group of backers. NW has made the problem even worse by holding funds like IP Group and Touchstone, Allied Minds, and then also investing wpct directly in some of the same companies. NW is utterly, completely and totally out of his depth in this biotech arena. It's unreal how bad his judgement has been. And if Oxford nanopore is as bad as this report says, then that just cements his disastrous reputation as a biotech stockpicker. I also think, btw, that he has backed a total dud in the fintech space: Atom Bank is dire, with an almost unusable app. He could have backed so many others in this space but picked this one. And notice how its "valuation" keeps rising with every new cash injection from NW et al.

the thing with this listing is that there really is very little to defend it.
The historical price action tells us all we need to know.

downticks coming

Person talking their own book shocker! Care to link my posts where I've been bearish on this and the price the share was then (hint: it is significantly higher than the 82p today)PS anyone else notice how any pro woodford post on here gets at least 7 rate ups within minutes of being posted? It's almost as if there's one person with an army of sock puppets posting this stuff. Very curious.

Quite right, truthteller. This is what The Oxford Whale said when the shares were actually at the top. Unsuccessful small investors are so often strangers to the truth.

"The Oxford Whale - 05 Aug 2015 - 17:06:41 - 282 of 1407::: WOODFORD PATIENT CAPITAL TRUST ::: - WPCT
Got no problem with people selling, what I do dislike however is people crowing about their sales thinking they called the top, or even in some cases actually trying to deramp this share, particularly as this is clearly a long term investment. Makes you wonder why some people have even invested here in the first place.

New all time high. The "top slicers" seem to have gone very quiet all of a sudden.

But you waste time posting.

It's called investing. No one guarantees the return path vs time in these type of holdings so if you want to know the return path buy sometHong else. Just avoid the likes of GE and a lot of others that have tripped up over past few years.

In other words - only death and taxes are for certain.

i do like it when doomsayers impart their wisdom saying the market is at its highs and due a sell off. They've been saying that on the DOW now for 4,000 points at least.

Essential

Ref: Woodford's Equity Income.

I don't think it is mandated to navigate its bursting, no? It isn't an absolute return fund so it just has to beat its peers, that is all.

If the stock market is in a massive speculative bubble,
how is WPCT, or indeed Woodford's income fund, uniquely positioned
to navigate it's bursting?.
