10/12/2019 12:26 | Thanks @Jonwig. He'll be OK if it's a solvent winding-up, which it sounds like it will be. | spectoacc
10/12/2019 11:03 | FT: Neil Woodford’s investment company has moved out of its office in an Oxfordshire business park as the company enters the final weeks of its wind-down. Woodford Investment Management moved into the offices on the outskirts of Oxford when it launched to great fanfare in early 2014. At its height the business managed more than £15bn and employed around 60 staff, many of whom were contract workers. But since Mr Woodford made the bombshell announcement that he was closing the business after the termination of his flagship fund in October, staff were let go and the company has been run by a skeleton workforce. Over the coming weeks it will hand over the portfolios of its three funds to new managers and liquidators. ... WIM changed its registered address at Companies House on Tuesday from the offices on the outskirts of Oxford to a business service address near Holborn in central London. | jonwig
10/12/2019 08:03 | Excellent. Thanks for that. Hopefully he is still buying | scrapheap
09/12/2019 16:57 | The Sundays comment on Tchengy having bought £6m of WPCT. | spectoacc
09/12/2019 16:56 | A blue day... and some biggish trades too. I wonder what's up? | scrapheap
09/12/2019 09:47 | Low cost trackers are better for beginners. 'A man must know his limitations.' | careful
09/12/2019 07:24 | @tim 3 - agreed. There's an awful lot of concentration risk. Can argue it's already come to the Tobaccos, and is likely coming to Big Oil next. Show me an income fund that doesn't hold Shell (well - Woody didn't :) :) | spectoacc
08/12/2019 19:52 | The more I look at equity income type investments the more I think you are better just putting it in low cost index trackers or one of the long established investment trusts like city of London or merchants. | tim 3
08/12/2019 14:28 | Would be delighted to see Tchengy lose some money. But to be fair - and without wanting to sound like @careful - better he buy down here than the high prices most muppets were buying at, and Woody was later slotting 60% of his shareholding at. I still see 0-20p, not changed my mind throughout. Sorting out the overdraft - perhaps via selling Oxford Nano and/or Autolus - would make WPCT less opaque, tho good luck finding many more winners. | spectoacc
08/12/2019 11:27 | I thought it was Joe Pasquale! . | skinny
08/12/2019 09:32 | Quite a bit in the IC about Woody/avoiding his mistakes, some of it interesting, not all of it accurate. The table of holdings (with asterisks to say holding now sold - why not delete the line if you can put in an asterisk?) was interesting for the size of falls and tiny number of winners. Think the average fall was -18%. | spectoacc
06/12/2019 15:05 | @ m w - no idea, it's weird, isn't it?! But ... I suspect it was just one trade: two sides of the same one. Maybe this: I own 110k shares and separately my wife owes me some money. So she overpays for the transfer. Silly idea? But so is the idea of still owning 110k shares in WPCT! (Unless you're Woody himself?) | jonwig
06/12/2019 08:24 | Anyone got any idea why we have trades of 37.77 p going through this morning | m w
05/12/2019 18:42 | That fund isn’t doing too badly following suspension..to be fair! | topvest
04/12/2019 13:23 | What a mess. | tim 3
04/12/2019 13:15 | Link still hasn't decided what to do with WIFF - wind it up or appoint a new manager. | daffyjones
04/12/2019 13:12 | Citywire confirms the Eddie Stobart sale at 6p. Woodford's stake which was worth £62m when ESL was suspended is now sold for £5.2m. A more than 90% loss since the suspension. Even more when you consider Woody originally bought in at flotation at 160p. Woodford's mini-me Mark Barnett also holds 6.8% of the company, which will now have to be written down. | daffyjones
03/12/2019 14:04 | interesting to see what happens at 30p | luckymouse
03/12/2019 13:32 | NSF now in the 80% club. To think Woodford thought this crowd had the ability to take over PFG. | cc2014
02/12/2019 23:14 | Autolus keeps on rising.... | scrapheap |
