14/7/2020 17:41 | yes I sold out a few days ago.... Did not pan out how I expected. | netcurtains
14/7/2020 17:31 | Investors looking for GROWTH not INCOME may well be disappointed. As a growth stock my value is 155p. I can wait. No huge or consistent sells so IS seem to be staying in for growth. | petewy

08/7/2020 08:44 | Yes Win Win Win, but shares are staying stubbornly low. I have no desire to sell my shares and it gives me chance to buy at these low rates. When they stated there recovery some years ago I bought at 60p each, do to other needs I sold at a nice profit. My average cost is very similar to today's value, they cannot keep winning Contracts and Extensions without it adding fundamental value to the business, in time some analysts will see the value and these shares will start to recover. Since the trading statement in May when the shares dropped in price From the 230p level there has been noting but positive news, countering any effect of that market update. They definitely look a good recover share, in a sector of the market where the competition seem to have suffered Wincanton seem to have come through the last few months in a strong position. | mikedon1946
08/7/2020 07:26 | So far its been Contract WIN WIN WIN but share price drifted. But another day another new dawn... Lets see what it brings.. | netcurtains

30/6/2020 13:05 | What stock Al? | petewy
30/6/2020 12:49 | mikedon - if you're questioning the value of reading newspapers, perhaps you should pick one up yourself? I could give you an example of a share I bought 3 years ago at 24.5p after reading an article in the Times, and which I have been selling recently at £17 and £19. | alan@bj
30/6/2020 12:35 | On WINs website they say that one of their special areas is food. Who did they have before Waitrose or Morrisons (are these contract renewals or new contracts entirely)... Medium term would Waitrose and Morrisons want the same delivery company as the company will have a lot of insider info (Whats selling well and where).... Or is it possible Waitrose might be considering a takeover of Morrisons down the line? | netcurtains
30/6/2020 12:28 | I sometimes question 1. who now buys papers 2. who trusts the tips Stocks or Horses But must agree this is a recovery company, very well placed to take advantage of the situation the country finds itself. The annual report says just that, some sectors are down, this give the business the ability to transfer expertise to new and expanding sections of the business. The Waitrose win is a real game changer, all supermarkets have these home delivery centres where the customer never sees, if they make a job of this one, stock handling and delivery combined, a section the logistics side of the business is good at, then they will be in prime position for others to buy-in to their expertise. AS previously stated in these post and again the AG Report sets out the quality of this business, a total turnaround from when I started investing as the 60p a share mark, it would need something really significant for them not to benefit from the current troubles that exist in the market place. | mikedon1946
30/6/2020 09:18 | Recommended by Times Tempus column again today on the back of yesterday's announcement about the Waitrose contract win. | alan@bj
29/6/2020 11:02 | Waitrose and Morrisons - double whamy! | netcurtains
29/6/2020 10:49 | More good news today, and they seem still to be a buy @ a the new price of £2 Winning quality contracts Morrison's and Waitrose over just a couple of weeks, and you can bet other good companies know that this company give good service, you only need to look at the contract renewals, a lot of clients have been with them for a lot of years. | mikedon1946
19/6/2020 23:13 | Seams to struggle today. The market is a strange beast .Long slow burner this one .Sicknote | s34icknote
19/6/2020 21:54 | A lot of sells. 200p looks a long way off. | petewy
18/6/2020 12:46 | Will the new contract include McColls too? (Morrisons supply McColls)? | netcurtains
18/6/2020 08:40 | Good news this morning. Buy recommendation in the Times this morning will also help sentiment. | techno20
18/6/2020 08:38 | indeed.....through £2 today it looks like DYOR | qs99
18/6/2020 08:13 | More good news today, only started working with Morrison's late last year must have really impressed. They still have a lot more business to get from this customer so as long as things go Ok, there is more to come. Shows how solid they are and with ESL in the doldrums, Wincaton is the main UK based firm, ready to take on PROFITABLE work. | mikedon1946
18/6/2020 08:12 | nice post results contract extension.....slowly and steady is ace....as you say, potential for divi to be reinstated later in year? DYOR | qs99

17/6/2020 15:47 | Agreed Q99. The enthusiasts that it would reach 200p today and thereon up, well good luck. Now it's 193p | petewy
17/6/2020 15:22 | mmmm yes Aberforth, they have caused mischief elsewhere on my portfolio, wanting "out" at any price it seems.....sod knows how some of these FMs get paid IMO....."let's not wait for recovery, even if on the horizon, let's sell at the low point and keep selling, depressing the share price".....ho hum....let's hope not with WIN! | qs99 |
