04/11/2020 17:19 | Not much going on this forum but 2.5 million shares just bought | fletcher270
29/10/2020 13:16 | Big movement on flutter today. Something is afoot | bokkes10
27/10/2020 09:47 | The deal is nowhere near complete. The fat lady is only just warming up her vocal cords. The company is seriously undervalued at £2.72 per share and the market agrees, which is why the actual market price is higher. The WMH directors were backed into a corner and forced to recommend the offer from Caesars due to the threat of them backing out the JV. But Caesars need WMH more than WMH needs Caesars, the shareholder vote is a massive hurdle and I just cannot see them getting the 75% unless they up their offer well into the £3's. At £2.72 I would rather walk away from the JV and allow WMH to attack the US market without Caesars, in the long term I think that would provide better returns. | adeg
27/10/2020 08:45 | Deals done guys. Surely your aware of that. I’ve not commented for a few weeks now as just seems pointless to even look. Happy with the profit from 110p up. No need to be greedy or waste time in looking at day trading a range of 275p to 282p for 6weeks. That would be madness? | smartie6
26/10/2020 14:49 | I believed that the end game was on 22nd Oct, so who asked for this 2 week extension? WMH, Caesars or Apollo? | johnv
26/10/2020 14:24 | I meant Apollo not Flutter but it reads the wrong way....HOWEVER if Flutter want to guarantee being numero Uno in the US for ever taking over the US Hills shops and renaming FanDuel is not a bad idea as FD has little land presence (&flog the UK stuff with WH brand) Make it more like PP here which is famous both online and bricks & M and it works | the white house
26/10/2020 13:19 | LOL this deal is going through 100% at 2.72 to many of the big banks have to much to lose. | oneillshaun
26/10/2020 13:01 | £165 million fees for advising WMH on takeover not bad I'm sure we could have done it for less that's abut the same amount as the Vat refund | fletcher270
26/10/2020 10:45 | This is all about the vote now on the 19th and can Caesars get 75% to vote yes. I will be voting no to the £2.72 offer, in my opinion the US part is worth that alone and the final price should be closer to £4 per share. | adeg
26/10/2020 10:42 | Can't see Flutter bidding for Hills. They may try to cherry pick some of the best retail shops when the carve up begins, but that's about it. | merism
26/10/2020 10:17 | 12 November crops up again....Hills had their results update dated 11 Nov then moved it forward to last week. Flutter had theirs for 12 Nov and then when Hills moved they moved to Nov 11. Their results will be monsterNow the day after Flutter is the expiry Nov 12. Is this relevant? Will they bid?Not a scooby | the white house
26/10/2020 10:12 | The hare is running!! the Panel Executive has ruled that, unless the Executive consents otherwise, Apollo must, by 5.00 pm on 12 November 2020, either announce a firm intention to make an offer for William Hill under Rule 2.7 of the Code or announce that it does not intend to make an offer for William Hill. This deadline will cease to apply if, before that time, a third party other than Apollo has announced a firm intention to make an offer for William Hill under Rule 2.7 of the Code. | nashwan123
26/10/2020 10:01 | RNS issued this morning. | blackdown2
26/10/2020 09:38 | Apollo have just been given an extension to the 12th November. Pursuant to Rule 2.6(d) and Section 4 of Appendix 7 of the Takeover Code (the "Code"), the Panel Executive has ruled that, unless the Executive consents otherwise, Apollo must, by 5.00 pm on 12 November 2020, either announce a firm intention to make an offer for William Hill under Rule 2.7 of the Code or announce that it does not intend to make an offer for William Hill. This deadline will cease to apply if, before that time, a third party other than Apollo has announced a firm intention to make an offer for William Hill under Rule 2.7 of the Code. | adeg
26/10/2020 09:29 | did i miss something!!! In accordance with Rule 2.6(a) of the Code, each of Apollo and Caesars are required, by not later than 5.00 p.m. (London time) on 23 October 2020 (being 28 days after today's date), to either announce a firm intention to make an offer for William Hill in accordance with Rule 2.7 of the Code or announce that they do not intend to make an offer, in which case the announcement will be treated as a statement to which Rule 2.8 of the Code applies. So nothing heard from Apollo according to the above they should have stated there intentions on Friday. | oneillshaun

23/10/2020 12:37 | even after today this still has to be passed by 75% of shareholders. While my shareholding is insignificant, I will still be voting no at this price. I think the market has the same opinion or why would the price be over £2.72. The fat lady hasn't even warmed up her vocal cords yet, still a long way to go before they get this over the line. | adeg
23/10/2020 12:23 | They have until 5pm this afternoon. So it may come after hours | tomv33
23/10/2020 10:59 | I have done well out of this but it does grate how this has been sown up in an underhand way. When Apollo approached Hills and or when an informal bid was made an RNS should have been issued. Instead a secret auction with buddies from Caesars was announced as a done deal. End of. At no point did Hills management want to succeed on their own or even try and hold on for another yearMoney is moving into others in sector with decent prospects over the pond & I have put some to work with Caesar himself. If you can't beat em... | the white house
23/10/2020 08:37 | yes sorry mixed up value with shares £18million 6.8 million shares. | adeg
23/10/2020 08:27 | Sorry meant it's probably the Americans that buy late | fletcher270
23/10/2020 08:25 | Americans usually release at either 12 or 1 uk time? I think... | tomv33
23/10/2020 08:19 | No i meant Apollo coming in late in the day with a bid, surely Caesars would be allowed a counter bid. | johnv
23/10/2020 08:16 | Not going to make an offer? | wm2020 |
