06/12/2023 17:06 | Shouldn't be a problem tomorrow :) | bountyhunter
06/12/2023 16:23 | Fauled to break through £33 today. | essentialinvestor
06/12/2023 13:59 | And better ; | essentialinvestor
05/12/2023 15:02 | Beginning to look a bit better | essentialinvestor
01/12/2023 21:35 | We were overdue a better day so would not read too much in to today's move. | essentialinvestor
30/11/2023 19:35 | Yes the Government don't have a clue, supposedly fighting inflation! Not that I'm anti-Tory in principle but there are some right buffoons amongst them! | bountyhunter
30/11/2023 18:29 | Very much doubt the minimum wage increase will cost WTB £40 million on pre tax per full year. Yes it may increase costs by a whack, but some of this can be offset on efficiency gains elsewhere. As the most efficient UK operator, Premier Inn's smaller competitors also have to navigate increasing wage costs. This may remove more independents from the market. | essentialinvestor
30/11/2023 14:39 | Didn't last long :-) | philanderer
30/11/2023 11:03 | A bounce at last ;-) | philanderer
29/11/2023 16:07 | A nice looking pub. Yes won't be cheap in that location, the nearest Wetherspoons would be the best bet! | bountyhunter
29/11/2023 16:03 | From my general area, would bet a hefty price hike once the Young's refurb has completed!. | essentialinvestor
29/11/2023 15:41 | The fall here seems unwarranted given that interest rates are widely expected to come down going forwards, now that inflation has halved, which should lead to an economic recovery. Perhaps the market is not looking that far ahead, yet. | bountyhunter
29/11/2023 14:02 | Hi Phil, that's a fair point on IHG. | essentialinvestor
29/11/2023 13:56 | EI, job to know what is causing the weakness with WTB, but the China news is not helping. IHG shareprice not falling though. | philanderer
29/11/2023 13:09 | Some of this weakness is China related, at a guess. Widespread reports of clinics being overwhelmed with cases of children with pneumonia - some question if a new virus is involved I would hope this is the result of prolonged lockdowns denting immunity to viral infections. | essentialinvestor
29/11/2023 12:24 | Dividend link added to header at the top now that Whitbread has resumed dividend payments. | bountyhunter
23/11/2023 18:31 | I'm adding in small amounts as not confident in judging a low point. With algo trading now, moves in either direction, tend to go further than you might expect!. Can WTB run a highly profitable German business?, I don't see why not, but as always no guarantees. | essentialinvestor
23/11/2023 16:51 | That was a very poor day for whatever reason. | philanderer
23/11/2023 16:32 | Major chain lined up to run new Leeds city hotel Plans to build a new hotel next to Kirkgate Market in Leeds city centre look set to be approved, with a major chain lined up to run the venture. Leeds City Council has struck a deal with Whitbread, the operator of Premier Inn, which would run the 143-bed hotel on George Street if it gets the go-ahead. The site is currently occupied by a row of vacant shops, which would be demolished to make way for the new hotel. The council's deputy leader said the scheme, which has been recommended for approval by planning officers, would deliver "quality and good value". The new development would respect the character of the Grade I-listed market and surrounding architecture, the authority said previously. | philanderer
23/11/2023 16:22 | l've just added some PSN where the trend is looking good for recovery especially if interest rates have peaked. Already have plenty of these avg 3164. Travelodge results were encouging for the UK hotel sector and they also are where we could be in a year's time, imho. (PE) | bountyhunter
23/11/2023 16:21 | EI, well done. Could well turn out to be a bargain. | philanderer
23/11/2023 16:14 | Yes!! - added just over 550 shares today. Hoping a decent longer term price. | essentialinvestor
23/11/2023 16:02 | 50? You were lucky to get those at the low as the price was only down there for a few minutes... | bountyhunter
23/11/2023 15:56 | I got a few at £31.968 at 3.07. Not for windows and orphans the way this moves around. | essentialinvestor |
