15/1/2018 18:38 | Been there, done that. Big company ignoring their customer. | wells777
15/1/2018 14:04 | If you feel that strongly, surely the answer is to contact Premier Inns' customer relations team rather than post randomly on a financial bb in the vague hope that someone from Whitbread might see it?! | jeffian
15/1/2018 13:43 | Does anyone from whitbread read these boards? If so please read my previous posts and respond. | wells777
15/1/2018 08:11 | yes I know - sorry can't help with that one - everything has always been in order for me although not always the case elsewhere | bountyhunter
14/1/2018 21:09 | My question is how could the records change from time of booking to when we arrived 3 months later? Is there something wrong with their computer system? We paid for two breakfasts up front, but when we arrived at the hotel their print out only showed one breakfast. | wells777
14/1/2018 20:42 | never booked the breakfasts in advance myself as no discount when doing so in my experience, but decent breakfasts and good value for money as with the rooms | bountyhunter
14/1/2018 20:37 | Has anyone had the same experience as me? Booked a stay at Premier Inn online for two adults including two breakfasts three months before due to stay. When we arrived the records at Premier Inn now showed a price for a room and only one breakfast. We decided to cancel breakfast but the lady could refund us one breakfast from the hotel. When we got back home we double checked our computer records and definitely charged for two breakfasts. Whitbread have still to refund us weeks later. | wells777

11/12/2017 17:54 | * Whitbread (-1.2 pct), owner of Costa Coffee and Premier Inn, second-top faller on FTSE 100 <.FTSE> after media report of CEO saying units not ready to stand alone * The Times reports quoting CEO Alison Brittain: "At some point the businesses will be big enough and have sufficient strength to stand alone". But that point was "probably not right now" ( * Brittain also reported by The Times as "sceptical" on whether Whitbread's depressed share price might attract interest from activist investors or private equity * Whitbread has been subject of break-up speculation in the past and shares jumped after U.S.-based hedge fund Sachem Head Capital Management declared a 3.4 pct stake on Wednesday [nL8N1O64Y6] * Shares supported earlier this year on hopes that Premier Inn's domestic hotels would benefit from foreign visitors cashing in on the weak pound, but they fell back when those benefits turned out to be smaller than expected * Stock +4.5 pct YTD * The company warned in April of a tougher consumer environment, as rising inflation and muted wage growth forced consumers to rein in spending [nL8N1HX1EH] | nick100
11/12/2017 16:12 | Always wondered why Costa hasn't moved into Nespresso's market.Costa is a strong brand so has missed an opportunity imho. | richj5000
06/12/2017 22:17 | Always going to be a great long term investment. £5 Billion + of freehold assets. Great brand names with Premier Inn and Costa. I've invested in Whitty for the last 20 years. £50 a share would be very cheap for a suitor. Personally I hope nobody bids for the company and we get good long term share and divvi appreciation. | 1pvh
