Possibly a bit of buying is starting ahead of November results.
We dont know if results will definitely be in November
or if they are what week, but most posters (including me)
assume results will be in November.

2016 it was MONDAY 31th Oct
2017 it was TUESDAY 31th Oct
2018 it was MONDAY 29th Oct
2019 it was MONDAY 11th Nov

Stats seem to say either a Monday or Tuesday, no later than 11th Nov (but can be any day of week and can of course be later than 11th - we just do not know)

Hope we don’t drop back into the 20s, if we can stay in the 30s and the build on results day hopefully. Expecting a strong bounce for WEY very soon

Well, I see the adverts for indirect roles as a really positive signal. Admissions Officer. Couldn’t make it up. Assistant to CEO would fall into the category of very nice to have. Clearly enough growth secured that JD can afford up to £50k inc addons (NI, IT Costs etc). It’s the kind of role you’ve got by without & would continue without unless you were confident in the growth you’re seeing & expected £ numbers.GLA

I did notice (its only a small eddy in the stream) that many extra students are sitting GCSEs and A levels this autumn because the teacher assessments were not quite as good as they had wished. These students probably have a requirement for extra tuition.
It would be interesting to know how many of these students are WEY helping?

Interesting - we know there have been plenty of direct & indirect roles advertised of late. There was a finance role not so long ago, I.e. more support required to tally up the revenue. Lol. The latest role advertised today is for an Admissions Co-ordinator. Yes, an additional role to support on boarding of new pupils. Either a member of the team has left (possible). Or the team is struggling to keep up with current demand...

Very nice. I see this creeping up daily at least +5% until results are out. This and VRE are two to watch closely IMO in the very near term.

From BBC:
Almost half of secondary schools in England sent home one or more pupils because of Covid incidents last week, the latest attendance figures show.

It meant pupils isolating in 46% of secondary and 16% of primary schools.

The updated figures show 5% - or about 400,000 pupils - are out of school because of Covid outbreaks.
