We're practically in November so you were well out.

Some of us have said from the beginning that this covid scam is going to run for years.

There was a private meeting in May 2019 of the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence (NSCAI) including participants from the intelligence services, the pentagon and silicon valley who were there to discuss AI technology and how it relates to the US and China going forward. The presentation was only made available after a freedom of information request and it's findings were quite interesting.

It turns out that the US are extremely worried regarding the technological advantage that they presently hold over China and fear that they may lose their crown if they don't make sweeping changes to how they operate. The problem is that although the US are great at inventing and innovation technology-wise China has many advantages when it actually comes to the adoption stage, that being that the US have too many 'legacy systems' that hold them back which it's biggest challenger doesn't. China can foist whatever they like onto their public whether they want it or not which gives them a massive advantage in this technology race. The US believe that unless they get rid of these obstacles then china will not only take the lead but will fly off into the distance with it while also taking the leading role in creating the global framework for this fourth industrial revolution.

So what are these 'legacy systems' that are holding the US back and which need to be completely overhauled or gotten rid of?

Well there are plenty, take cash for one. We have old fashioned bank notes, coins and cards here slowing transactions down whereas in China every electronic transaction can be tracked and taxed effortlessly. They (US) also see the scale of their consumer market being too large (stores) so would prefer more online shopping. How about person to person doctor appointments, does that seem like an efficient use of a doctors time? They even see individual car ownership as a problem. There are so many of these 'legacy systems' that we take for granted but that they consider are getting in the way of things.

The biggest obstacle though comes with regards data. Data it has been said is the new oil, Governments and big tech just can't get enough of the stuff and in this new era whoever has the most data will be at a massive advantage. In China everybody is surveilled 24/7, every journey tracked electronically and with the aid of facial recognition cameras, every transaction is monitored, every interaction traced and every communication recorded. Telephone conversations are even screened by algorithms and have been used to prosecute cases relating to anything from minor driving violations through to murder. The benefits of data seems endless.

So there's a massive problem here.

The US sees it's long term position and dominance reliant on not only competing on a level playing field with China regarding the techniques employed to implement policy on it's people in this technological arms race but that it will probably need to surpass them. Why would people choose to upend their lives, lose their jobs, businesses and way of life for something they'd probably previously never even given any thought to? Why would they give up their rights, privacy and freedoms for something so radical? Do they really want to live in a China style surveillance state?

Without sounding presumptuous I think if this were to be put to the public I would say it just isn't going to fly, absolutely no chance.

They can't force it onto the people because we live in the freedom loving capitalist West.

So how are we going to navigate this impasse?.............

................

Any ideas?....

Enter stage left Covid 19......
