02/11/2020 12:20 | Can't say I like the owner or his pubs but JDW should be: - Speculative (perhaps short-term) buy if COVID-in-hospitals numbers improve during this new 'lockdown' - Longer-term buy on any concrete positive vaccine announcement | blusteradjuster

02/11/2020 07:25 | Unlike Donald Trump, some of us read books. Some pensioners like me even understand the difference between life expectancy at birth and life expectancy at 80. Let me see now... person, man, woman, camera, t.v.....yep, fit to lead the Western World! | caradog
02/11/2020 01:21 | Communist China makes Britain a financial basket case You couldn't make it up. China caused all this misery and they are carrying on as if nothing has happened. And we are making them rich by buying all their junk, and more so as we get poorer. Donald Trump: "I'll take jobs back from China, Mexico" VIDEO | johnwise
01/11/2020 23:36 | Just one more point while I'm on a roll lol .What was all the arguing about with Burnham about the money for workers when they now come out with 80 percent furlough. It wasn't there when it was only the north going to be in lockdown . | gozzie2

01/11/2020 22:23 | GOZ, referenced as so many comments on this site are ...it's only a flu etc. Yes for many it wont even be a mild flu, many will be symptom free, but unfortunately it's the 20% of serious cases that are doing the damage. JDW would see down around 7% near the open?. | essentialinvestor
01/11/2020 22:21 | Anyway thats my last post on the subject .My view is we will have lockdown or at least tier 3 until after New year. Its been made worse by slow action and we are playing catchup. We shall see what happens .For peoples health I hope it doesn't get as bad as I fear because a lot take no notice of the restrictions. People I know will definitely break them. Whose going to check if they have friends down .I blame the public as much as the government. Hope you all do well with your trading in this eventful time .Atb | gozzie2
01/11/2020 22:17 | 99p a pint - 50 = 49p a pint even better 🍺🍺 | luderitz
01/11/2020 22:13 | I keep hearing about these flu figures but we have had lockdown or a form of it for many months .Manchester has been in tier 2 since July the figure would quickly spread out of control with no restrictions. A mate of a mate got sent home recently to die at home they need the beds .They are not doing all this for the good of their health (ours probably ) or votes .Im usually to the left but i can't fault them for lockdown ,just too slow they react to what we already know will happen at least a week later . | gozzie2
01/11/2020 22:05 | In an average UK flu season approx 3,500 people are hospitalised. That's the number for the entire flu season, which is usually 26 weeks UK COVID-19 hospitalisations are currently running at around 1,450 Per Day. My personal view is another lockdown is catastrophic for many smaller businesses and livehoods. Areas from mental health, to cancer diagnosis and a myriad in between will suffer. | essentialinvestor
01/11/2020 21:22 | South korea on BBC2 now my favourites | gozzie2 |
