So my thoughts are having been a retail operations manager in the past is that staff need at least 4 weeks rota in advance. The company's will need a week or less to plan their rota. They will then use the interim period to prepare and order in beer and food etc and make any hygiene preparations. So my bet is that if others follow Young's suit or very close then we should be expecting an update any time soon. The blueprint for Pubs opening must be happening. Imho

Pubs with beer gardens are back open in to IOM. Small ones with no space inside are shut. As the days roll on more things get closer to some form of reality that JDW will be back open and the price will be over £12 not under £10.

Tim it's not too late if you buy in at these levels. Still cheap and will soon put other pubs out of business.

Pret a Manger plots crunch rent talks with landlords

People close to the company say that Pret now wants to switch to a 'turnover rent' model, which links a tenant's payments to landlords to the turnover of an individual site.

The likely long-term implementation of social distancing measures is likely to have a grave impact on sales figures at many of Pret's outlets, which thrive because of the dense footfall they attract from office-workers in busy urban locations.

"The massive reduction in footfall and how people may behave means we have to adapt quickly.

To early to put a price on it .. The social distancing rules is going to significantly reduce cash flow...
Same for the shops on the high street My local Wilco a large shop on two floors can only allow 36 people in the store at once Will it be financial viable with that reduced throughput.?

Another low death figure and news stories doing the rounds that it's dropping so fast may be gone to quick to develop a vaccine.Really must be getting to the stage where deaths from people not getting treatment for other conditions outnumbers those dying from it.

Johnwise, the public finances are flucked.

People need to go back to work and the 'government', such as it is, need to produce some simple logical rules to enable folk to do such.

O.K. people with an existing health issue and the elderly need to 'stay safe'.

Where is Boris? Changing nappies? We need politicians of the stature of Matt Handjob and George Useless like we need a hole in the head.

This mess is getting worse by the day .This is going to be the death of thousands of British business, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of British families destroyed. The government with immediate effect need to stop all £13 billion foreign aid ,Instead of rebuilding Communist China with one way trade put an import tax on their goods that can be produced here(more jobs). This sadly is beginning to look like a horror movie for this country, just wait for mass redundancies now with no light and the end of the tunnel.

Employers may have to pay 25% of furloughed staff wages from August

Companies may also be told to cough up for national insurance contributions, which are approximately 5% of people’s wages, – could cause wave of redundancies
