Pete, I believe they have a special carpet designed for each new pub.

Well the only good thing is there will currently be no ware and tare on the carpets so the depreciation charge should be less this year.

Sales of homebrew kits are through the roof. Wine and beer kits are flying off the shelves to all the functioning alcoholics.

kon, there is a way of course, but expensive, testing and verification. Pubs cannot be allowed to open in current environment, simple.

As stated, not for the likes of me for a year plus, tough, but I can hack it.

Proof of no horrendous 2nd waves needed before pubs will even get a sniff at re-opening.

As for Jeffries... lol

Dud, the Brits have a pub culture as I have said before here. If the government do not want civil insurrection they need to find a way to open the pubs or as the licensed trades industry is saying 'bail them out'.

Only way to reopen in next six months, is floor marking and segregation. Its possible but probably difficult to manage, as with Supers now.

Can be done, but I doubt elderly would be welcome, counts me out.

Oh, and ditch coffee!

Thrive on food, not sure how to overcome the issue with waiting, sure it can be overcome. Maybe chuck it from 2metres?

Perhaps someone could tell me why China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia have practically eradicated CV, albeit with brutal border controls. Australia and New Zealand also.

Europe and the US seem inept, impatient and undisciplined, their politicians running around like headless chickens.

Think it could work with some strict rules. All orders via app no standing at the bar remove seating so only limited amount of people at each table and not allowed to move chairs and limit the amount of people in.Probably have to be when restrictions are lifted a little though as obviously there is more risk and people would be less than 2 meters apart at times.

Porto I have rarely been in Spoons and been more than 10ft away from anyone.
How it can work to get this happening I just don't know but heck something must be done, the pub trade and JDW are the back bone of the countries leisure industry.

No sign of opening boris come on spoons is big enough to have 10 feet apart and the bars are long no need to be near any one

I think it is all down to the covenants on the 'revolver'. Can they draw the head room? If not get the rights issue down ASAP.
