If that is true about McDonald's reopening in May, I will bet a Vegan 'Spoons' breakfast that 'Spoons' will be open in June - with restrictions mind.

Maybe Boris is partial to a 'Spoons' breakfast?

Dart Group confirmed they recently fully drew down their 'revolver' recently.

I wonder if 'Big Tim' has done that?

Gov policy on distancing a restaurant which as rooms of only
30sq feet should only have. 6 two seater tables there must be at least 8 feet apart for ever , and a walk away fro movement in the restaurant
No more clutter in these places

Big chains that are very big will have the same rules but they can manage under these rules , and more checks on the restaurants to make sure there are obeying the rules

Noble, you are absolutely right - it never tastes the same if you cook it yourself.

One hopes Gove's 'bark is worse than his bite'.

My view is unless the government what to bail out the whole of the hospitality industry in the Britain (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland I think do their own thing) they will have to let the pubs and restaurants re-open say in late May with restrictions.

I might be wrong.

Cannot wait for that 'Spoons' breakfast.

If China wanted to cripple western economies there are few better weapons than COVID-19

WHICHEVER way you look at it China is responsible for the deadly coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe.

Economics swots at the Asian Development Bank told Bloomberg this week they reckoned the global cost of coronavirus would be almost £3.5 TRILLION – about a third of what WW2 cost in today's money.

Landlords fear ‘disaster’ summer if pubs stay closed for months

It comes as government minister Michael Gove warned on BBC One’s The Andrew Marr Show over the weekend that pubs and restaurants would be”among the last” to see restrictions lifted, leading to speculation many may not be open before Christmas.

Pete, I believe they have a special carpet designed for each new pub.

Well the only good thing is there will currently be no ware and tare on the carpets so the depreciation charge should be less this year.

kon, there is a way of course, but expensive, testing and verification. Pubs cannot be allowed to open in current environment, simple.

As stated, not for the likes of me for a year plus, tough, but I can hack it.

Proof of no horrendous 2nd waves needed before pubs will even get a sniff at re-opening.

As for Jeffries... lol
