16/4/2020 08:12 | I think spoons have mist a trick. they had the supply chain and kitchens . they should have gone into the fast food delivery service. they could have delivered beer with food.i would have ordered. | pete123456
16/4/2020 07:50 | Why would anyone believe anything China has to say when they tried to cover the entire thing up? Trump is 100% right here. There is no way that China only had 3,000 deaths in a country that has 1.4 BILLION people. They are lying and need to be held accountable for downplaying the severity of the coronavirus and for not closing their borders and initiating a travel ban as soon as the outbreak occurred. Donald Trump claims other countries are COVERING UP deaths as U.S. hits 20 per cent of all global coronavirus fatalities with just four percent of the population | johnwise
16/4/2020 07:49 | Thing is, what happens after the next 3 weeks? Nobody knows ? | kreature
16/4/2020 07:34 | Food Banks...You can help food banks by donating non-perishables such as tinned vegetables and fish, biscuits and sugar - which are easier to store and hand out to those in need. Chinese Virus Update: Coronavirus: 'hundreds of thousands of jobs at risk' as retail sales slump The British Retail Consortium says the sector is at the "epicentre" of the economic crisis created by the pandemic. Retail sales fell by 27% in the first two weeks of the UK's lockdown, resulting in the worst monthly decline on record for the sector overall last month, according to industry figures. | johnwise
16/4/2020 07:23 | Jobwise filtered. Cluttered up SXX with his narrative driven rubbish, how did that work out John? and now doing the same here. | raweden
16/4/2020 05:19 | The Free World should Boycott Communist China and force their economy to collapse. VIDEO: | johnwise
15/4/2020 22:40 | Or if you read the other rag exit planning could begin in 10 days. | tim 3
15/4/2020 22:05 | Lockdown end date 18MONTHS away says health minister Nadine Dorris in extraordinary claim The Government was thrown into chaos this evening when Ms Dorries said the UK could be in lockdown until the end of 2021. In an extraordinary break from the No10's official line, Ms Dorries has said the nation-wide lockdown will not be lifted until a vaccine has been made, which experts say won't become unavailable for at least 18 months. | johnwise
15/4/2020 16:30 | Totally agree with EI | gswredland
15/4/2020 16:10 | "Most news providers should be taken to task for scaremongering" I am now more convinced than ever that the Marxist Globalists are a major and dangerous influence within most of our national media including of course the BBC, "It's all the fault of Conservatives, Boris etc".. No It's a world wide issue and was not created here in the UK Should Vaccinations Be Mandatory? Vaccine Damage Payment - GOV.UK | johnwise
15/4/2020 16:00 | Seems the bbc has come clean and admit same death rate as flu Most news providers should be taken to task for scaremongering18 year old who was reported a coronavirus victim 2 weeks ago died of other causes | zztop
15/4/2020 15:17 | Agree with EI although bullish in JDW to double in 2 weeks was well ahead of itself have also cut a few of my other holdings over the last few days. | tim 3
15/4/2020 14:41 | Essential, it was a definite 'dead cat' bounce from a bottom. Until everything is up and running and some numbers get reported it is very difficult to put valuations on anything. Tim, I think it might be the end of May at the latest for hospitality to open again. I might be wrong though. | konradpuss
15/4/2020 14:01 | May be badly misreading this, however the % gains in some cyclicals over the last week has looked borderline parabolic. Think there is some buyers reget to come -general comment rather than JDW specific. | essentialinvestor
15/4/2020 13:55 | It's not just you am hearing a lot of people saying exactly the same and don't forget many will not have had the expense of an annual holiday.Once these restrictions are lifted and don't forget it's been less than a month since they started the plan was never to continue it indefinitely then I think pubs will be busy for some time although some restrictions may be in place to start with. Its pure guesswork but would be very surprised if they are not open again by September probably earlier. | tim 3
15/4/2020 13:46 | I rarther think you are right. Now did you see what I did there? Rarther, I think you should step aboard the 'Spoons' ship as you are obviously a good customer. If Boris does not want a revolution he should open the pubs ASAP. I know of no other country with a pub culture like we have/had in the Uk. | konradpuss
15/4/2020 13:30 | Maybe it says more about me rather than JDW's prospects, but every person I know says the first thing they'll be doing after lockdown is going down the pub.I don't think there are going to be crazy screens and distancing measures, people are just going to be expected to not get so close for a while. If they don't abide with the unwritten rules they'll be hit with a very British glare or at worst a brutal "do you mind mate". There won't be airport security to get into spoons.I don't even hold JDW shares so that's unbiased. | rarther
15/4/2020 13:28 | Nope Probably take a lot of tables out in the early stages... | ignoble
15/4/2020 13:24 | When will they open ? Will it just go on and on like Brexit ? I don't know. Does anyone know ? | kreature
15/4/2020 13:24 | STREET PARTIES AND BEER FESTIVALS WILL SORT ALL | waldron
15/4/2020 13:19 | creature, are you serious? 'Will they ever open again'! They will be open sooner than you think. We need Ander Tegnell over here from Sweden. He would have the lot open in a jiffy. Not saying Sweden is right, we will only know in retrospect. | konradpuss
15/4/2020 13:10 | You probably won't be able to get in the pubs unless you show your certificate of vacination. Very nice. But will they ever open again ? Takings are probably down a bit this week? | kreature
15/4/2020 13:00 | I think places like JDW and loads of busy places will require some kind of screening facilities before they are allowed to reopen. | turvart
15/4/2020 12:53 | Johnwise - they're making it up as they go along. How many DM pieces, or government warnings, did you see back in January or early February? The fact is that no-one knew, knows or will ever know. The beauty of investing is that, in theory, and in conjunction with that blindness, you can buy or sell at any time. :0) | taurusthebear |
