WEB a tiny market cap and will still be target even if PASPA remains. The multiple will just be much greater if PASPA is repealed.

WEB also have not spent money lobbying as others will have done.

WEB would be a ready made bolt on for the likes of William Hill US.

WEB may be a big winner but there are more obvious candidates.

SPO, GVC, PTEC, Hills, 888 - all will jump considerably on good news but may fall on bad (but how bad can it be...)

Hmmm. Web undervalued but is so illiquid and off radar...

I've taken a position here this morning.

It's difficult to put odds on the various outcomes; but it seems to me that downside is limited in the event that PASPA remains: whereas in the case of the other three outcomes, the upside could be considerable.

So a decent chance of no change or a moderate loss, but also s decent chance of significant upside.

A good gamble.

Four possible outcomes are:

1. PASPA remains

2. PASPA partially repealed

3. PASPA fully repealed.

4. PASPA is unlawful and violates the 10th Amendment. This highly unlikely verdict would create a free for all and obviously would be great for the betting industry and all States.

on the balance of probability, the outcome would be

1. PASPA partially repealed

2. PASPA fully repealed

3. PASPA remains.

4. PASPA unlawful.

My prediction FWIW, is that the Supreme Court will want to ensure that all States have the same rights immediately, so that means a full repeal rather than a partial repeal. The fact that the US is already preparing for change, hopfully will not go unnoticed. Today is the day when the Supreme Court could effect change. We will know this afternoon whether they release opinion.

cannot be much "in the price" for good news but yes, could fall 20% - problem is the spread is a killer either way.

This is limited downside. Low market, expanding business. The only minus is the lack for strong profits but it's not a loss making business.

Will be taken out VERY quickly IF news is good.

It is definitely a possibility that the decision won't go as hoped. I doubt there are many people short on the stock - and tbh, at 1p there is not that much upside to such positions whereas the downside risks are substantial. In that respect those gambling here on the decision are more likely to be those expecting a positive outcome.

”I’m about as positive as a lawyer can be that we’re going to win this case,” said Drazin, who is a lawyer by trade, during the press conference. “People used to talk to me about racing and now they’re talking to me about sports betting.”

Why people here only see the positive signs?
If no license is granted (tomorrow) in the states (as they are so protectionist) the share price could/will dive. 20/30%, yes?
Risky, very risky.

Presumably why SPO is taking steps to ensure their business is firmly based in the US

howdlep - good link - firstly as they state it's very unlikely. However, reading further down the article it suggests companies with race track experience and licences are going to be valuable and sought after.
