So the licenses are said to be worth £5m each, but why is that? Do they cost a lot to apply for? Does it take a long time to apply for them? Can only one company hold a license in a state?
Why would (say) bet365 buy webis over applying for licenses themselves?
Genuine questions, looking to invest but want to know why the licenses have value.

Who knows DC ... maybe we'll find out on Monday, maybe we won't!

We're well overdue some sort of news or update though - frustratingly quiet of late but I'm sure we'll find out what's going on before too long.

A quiet week but next week (or by Monday 27th at the latest) we should get the half year report which is normally released before February month end.
It will make an interesting read I'm sure!

Today a note from/by Simon Cawkwell

"Ed Comins of Webis (WEB) came by last week. He was fairly tight-lipped about prospects. But he did not seem downcast to me. Now 2.5p."

I guess that the chubby chap must have a fair chunk of WEB shares.

jump in the sh. price

phps it might be linked to this existing info for the co. trying to get a license for a 2nd race facility, in Arizona (& phps there is progress on that in the USA)

"....we fully expect to be licensed by the end of this year {2022}, or at worst early in 2023."

And the relevance of this educational one-upmanship? We're investing not being condescended to by some wannabe Samuel Pepys Wordsmith.

do you speak/understand English ?

-----
phps I shouldn't criticise you, since it seems like 90% of posters on this website do not know the difference between
- of & off
- there & their

etc etc

English, such a great language with a bigger vocabulary than most other languages (since we got conquered by everyone in the past !!, Romans, Germans, Vikings, French....& we picked up parts of their languages) & such an easy language, with no accents, & very simple grammatical rules (look at the future tense for example, I will go, he will go,...couldn't be simpler)
& yet many posters still do not know the difference between "if" & "off" !!

:-(

maybe most posters on this website are rich retired plumbers from London !!
rich enough to play the stk mkt but never did well in their English classes !
