100k buys keep going through , not large values but consistent over last few days. Looks like position building as more players leave the field/taken over. Or more optimistic that they have utilised their licenses wisely and an imminent tie up to be announced.

Indeed that’s true longwell . I know wise men never count their chickens before they hatch , however if you broke down this company into pieces had a look at each piece then build it back up again. You can see clearly see that it has all the right ingredients for a tasty recipe …….

Potentially – a few minor issues to resolve; we just need to a) make them aware of the existence of WEB and b) then persuade them why they should be paying £250m for them. So Monday / Tuesday sounds feasible.

Re #4138 and WEB’S interest in a ‘fixed odds’ offering, in addition to pari mutuel; interesting piece here, albeit from a potential competitor, from earlier today:

Sports gambling data and content firm SIS is launching a U.S.-based subsidiary, hoping to bridge the gap between horse racing and the rapidly growing North American sports betting industry.

About $11 billion is wagered legally on horse racing in the U.S. each year.

The new unit, called SIS Content Services, will focus largely on fixed-odds gambling—odds that lock the moment the bet is placed...The difference, as SIS sees it, is a multi-billion dollar opportunity.

At mature gambling operators in other markets, horse racing typically accounts for about 10-25% of the revenue.

Even if it’s 5%, that would be lovely actually, because that in itself would be many billions.

In my opinion their valuation is not far off (but that's just my opinion and I'm biassed :-) )
