09/1/2020 08:09 | And back down we go for another 12 months ffs | enewman36
08/1/2020 18:35 | As we all know, this is the next important stage in bringing sports betting to California. It will take time of course but having both the legislature and the tribes bringing proposals to the table, will ensure everyone benefits. Tonight the legislature will discuss proposals with key stakeholders, to ensure the best possible deal is placed before the electorate. Here is this evenings hearing agenda:- | howdlep
08/1/2020 16:17 | The point is that regulation is moving forward in California and once these things gather pace predators will start looking at WEB as they have the race tracks and the licences already in place. WEB is also effectively up for sale so could pop at any time and once CAL looks like opening things will move fairly quickly | trentendboy
08/1/2020 16:15 | mip55, quite right. I saw that post and almost bought some, then remembered that it's not till much later in the year. Back to GAN..... | waterloo01
08/1/2020 16:11 | I will indeed pop back to GAN but this was posted there:Watch for California bill tonightNow.....what part of that statement does not need correction?Good luck in your investments guys. | mip55
08/1/2020 15:51 | Fine, things are moving forward as anticipated | dubian99
08/1/2020 15:48 | There is nothing for you to correct. It's been widely covered on the WEB bb both here, on LSE and on Twitter. Maybe you should 'pop' back to the GAN board. | howdlep
08/1/2020 15:31 | Sorry guys but it appears someone is mistaken. What is happening today in Sacramento is the first in a number of hearings which will hopefully conclude in June. There will be no vote tonight. The purpose is to listen to interested parties so legislators can incorporate their views into a bill.I popped in to your board to correct something said about this on GAN but it does seem that there is a widely held view on here that something game changing is going to happen in California today - I would love to know where that idea came from. | mip55
08/1/2020 13:43 | It is another step tonight though. Sure it will all take time. But those who want in wont wait until everything is passed and then get started. They would be a long way behind the competition. If the vote etc tonight is very high or unanimous for yes...then they better get started. Web is available...for a price. I can wait.... | barnetpeter
08/1/2020 11:52 | You may have missed the fact I was responding to Dubian, hence the arrow pointing from my name to his? | mip55
08/1/2020 11:44 | yes I know. Hence the Nov 2020 ballot! | howdlep
08/1/2020 11:40 | A constitutional amendment is required to legalise Sports betting in some US states. California is one of them. This is carried out by voter referendum as per the most recent example of Colorado which voted in November 2019 to legalise by a 3.7% majority. | mip55
08/1/2020 11:38 | the key change is that the tribes now want sports betting. There is likely to be two proposals, either legislature or both legislature & tribal will go forward onto the Nov 2020 ballot. The tax revenues are so great that it will benefit the State, tribes and the betting industry. As WEB already have a CA licence, they are already in a prime position and would benefit from either proposal. Obviously, inclusive of mobile would ensure far greater revenues for both the State and betting industry. | howdlep
08/1/2020 11:31 | mip Don't make sense if you mean a people vote, in the UK only apx 3% of the population gamble, how can you run a referendum on something 97% of a mature mkt don't concern themselves with, and the people that do or will want to gamble total only 3% of the population, there would be disproportionate influence to stop a minority activity, if a lack of voting didn't make it a nonsense | dubian99
08/1/2020 11:26 | Sorry but the way it was portrayed on GAN was ....watch for the California Bill tonight. Even if the Tribes get the required support the ballot will not be till November 2020 | mip55
08/1/2020 11:22 | Yes we know thanks. | howdlep
08/1/2020 10:38 | Someone posted on the GAN board about a bill going through in California tonight. Not true. What is happening is an informational hearing taking place in Sacramento today. Any change to gambling legislation in the State requires a state wide referendum so, even if the legislature backed plan and the Native Tribe alternative can be reconciled nothing is going to be passed in the near future.Sorry for butting in but hope this has stopped anyone making a rushed decision based on alternative facts. | mip55

08/1/2020 09:56 | Not to late to top up if you feel it's going to double. | bobby.ifa
08/1/2020 09:53 | Could go 100% easily (perhaps more) if the bill goes through. Should have bought more last week - grrrr. Even posted on this ahead of the spike. Was here also when it jumped to 7p on the repeal. This can really shift when it wants to | trentendboy
08/1/2020 08:18 | the big boys will have a stake | vfleetsons@aol.com
08/1/2020 07:53 | California sports betting legislature hearing begins at 9pm tonight GMT. Sports betting is coming to CA. A Bill that will substantially benefit the State, the tribes and the betting industry. As an existing licence holder in CA, WEB are already positioned to benefit. Predators will be gathering. | howdlep
07/1/2020 22:03 | I have already had a 7 bagger out of WEB. In 2018. What price if the vote is carried? | barnetpeter
07/1/2020 18:06 | Hearing outcome not due until Thursday earliest so get in first thing tomorrow for another 30% rise. Then de risk before close tomorrow and enjoy the ride | siriusbizness |
