24/10/2019 21:12 | My biggest holding together with Gan. The latter has more than trebled. Both Gan and Web will get taken out next year imo. Web is a stock to hold. One day the rns will drop. By all means trade a few. I got a huge price on these a few years ago and bought back at 1 to 1.2 earlier this year. No placings here for years. It has little free stock so can be very volatile | barnetpeter

24/10/2019 10:31 | FWIW I think WEB will be taken out by one of the big bookmakers in the UK who want to increase their presence in the US. Of course, they will already have the necessary infrastructure. What they need is a company fully established in the US with licences running passed the 2020 vote...now who might that be? | howdlep

24/10/2019 09:58 | This is quite useful to see state of play. California 2020 (depending on a vote that requires a 2/3rd majority. | waterloo01
24/10/2019 09:53 | howdlep sums it up - WEB is not for widows or orphans. The California situation is complicated by tribal casino stuff but it will go eventually and WEB have some real estate. If it shifts it will really shift but a gamble | trentendboy

24/10/2019 09:25 | California as always remains the key. This from the Interims should not be lost on investors. Indeed, this is a time to be accumulating a position:- Licenses During the period, we have concentrated on obtaining important licence applications and renewals. I am pleased to report that all licences applications were successful, and include the key strategic states of California, New York and Kentucky. As announced last week, we were also approved by the California Horse Racing Board for a further two-year license renewal into 2021. This is particularly important as it will ensure that we remain an incumbent fully licensed racetrack and online operator as California continues to pave the way for expanded sports gaming. Summary In terms of strategy, the repeal of PASPA in May 2018 was something of a game changer for Webis Holdings plc. As expected, there is a huge focus on the USA as the land of opportunity for expanded gaming, especially with very tough competitive conditions for operators in many other jurisdictions, especially in the UK. As a result, the company has had no shortage of informal offers from other interested parties in the space, specifically in the areas of software deals, strategic alliances and, at the operating company level only, mergers and even acquisition. The Board continues to assess all these avenues for the benefit of shareholders but is aware that the increasing suite of USA licences, together with our USA established operations and relationships, have created a significant asset, and one that should not be undervalued. We will keep shareholders fully informed on developments in this area in line with market regulations. | howdlep
