Interesting that the Cityam article said the same thing as Warpaint's RNS but in a different tone - and especially sales up 10 million from '23 to '24 - which I noted in the RNS and thought it great - and then the share price goes down a bit - go figure ....

Lets hope readership of cityam is impressed.

Warpaint London: Makeup firm behind W7 sees sales soar following Superdrug deal

Warpaint London, the company behind makeup brands W7 and Technic, has revealed a strong start to its financial year with sales up £10m following a deal with Superdrug.

The London-listed business has said its sales hit £46m in the six months to the end of June 30, 2024, up from £36m during the same period in 2023.

It said it expected the second half of the year to be even stronger due to Christmas gifting orders and the “group’s momentum”.

Chairman Clive Garston said: “Further progress continues to be made with expanding the group’s presence in larger retailers globally and the group has significant further opportunities to grow sales, both with new and existing customers.

“The group has a number of planned product roll outs to additional stores in the second half of the year and remains in active discussions with a number of UK and overseas retailers about stocking the group’s products.”

I guess I'm doing the same as DavROs, the RNS to me was bland compared to the knockout ones previously and is probably why the teeny drop in share price today. Need some more exciting words... at least the volume was impressive...

I have added 4 times on the way up. I'm trading the trend to a fairly mechanical method. For me it needs to digest a bit so in no hurry to add again but remain very comfortable with my large position. If it sets up again I'll add a bit more but that could be a little while away.Nothing in the RNS that unduly concerned me. All looks very good

The update today wasn't as good as last year's quarterly figures but still positive, just not quite as much which could be down to all sorts of stuff from consumers, the weather etc.

Maybe I'm missing something (or quite a lot as I'm fundamentals more than over figures and market chicanery)

So a good time to buy or wait awhile? dunno....

Smelly is right less than the proverbial broken clock. That takes some talent. In fact if I’m doing the opposite of what smelly is ramping I’m highly likely to make money

Sell on news brigade out.

Not invested in REVB, Revolution Beauty, but their turnaround strategy seems to be working and they've posted a profit. A bit misleading as 2/3 of the profit appears to be due to rescheduling of a purchase and the reallocated money booked as profit if I've read it correctly. Pus an overhanging potential litigation from a fund that bought in for 39m gbp. One to avoid atm.

Shares are some 30% higher than the secondary placing at the start of May, they were absolutely pricing in another upgrade. Q2 YoY growth was 23% vs 28% in Q1, this varies to last year where Q2 growth accelerated to 53% from 39% in Q1.
