REVB's trading update yesterday may be a drag here given brokers have reduced their eps forecast for FY25 by 70%.W7L is in a different league though.

Agree. FY23 Adjusted was +84%. Consensus forecasts are way too conservative.

If the 75pc profit increase carries through to full year figures then W7L is on a prosp PE of 14 to15. Assuming earnings of 34 to 35p per share. Still very cheap and a sitting duck for a takeover if not rerated. Even if growth slows there is still plenty of growth possible via acquisition in this cash generative niche.

LT, my thoughts as well. But an update seems likely before finals given the email response to rar (thanks for posting). Plus I guess they have been pretty busy sorting out the latest acquisition."We nevertheless intend to update the market before the announcement of the 2024 financial year results."

Yeah was hoping that as the other update was forced due to the takeover we would have had another one after Christmas to provide actual Christmas period trading as I assume this is the busiest part of the year.

So this was the update 051224:
The Group has seen continued strong momentum and the board expects the results for the year ended 31 December 2024 to be in line with its expectations.

Trading in the US has been particularly strong in the second half, benefitting from an initial order from Walmart for both W7 and Chit Chat products. The Company now expects to report US revenue growth of around 20% for the year (in US dollar terms) at a significantly higher margin to that achieved in 2023, following the reduced focus on deep discounters. Constructive talks are ongoing with Walmart regarding the supply of all year round and gifting ranges for 2025.

The Group's gross margin for 2024 as a whole is expected to be comfortably above the level achieved last year (2023: 39.9%).

Looking forward to 2025, in the UK, Superdrug is expected to rollout W7 colour cosmetics into a significant number of new stores, and is in talks to roll out accessories into several hundred stores. In Tesco, confirmation of a 150-store expansion of the Group's W7 impluse offering during 2025 has been received. Additionally, Boots has agreed to take a number of gifting products for the first time for Christmas 2025, which will be stocked in several hundred stores.

Patience will be rewarded!

I forgot to say that one can look at that statement and interpret it in several ways (guessing of course)one way is that are relaxed about how things are going with the Co. and trading and the content of future results and not bothered by the present share price Which I imagine is the case, and Dec 5th 24 isn't very long ago since last TU. If they reacted by giving out lots of TU's it might look like they are desperate also. I think they know what they are doing and just getting on with it, thats been the pattern since they started and they have done a hell of a lot in that time. I'm still a bit disapointed but I reckon it's a buying opportunity now, given the jumps in share price after results for past few years and now to get details of the US trading, I expect good news when a TU is issued. Just my thoughts.

I received an email reply today as pasted below

Warpaint’s trading updates vary from year to year. The market was recently updated on 5 December 2024 along with the announcement of the acquisition of Brand Architekts Group plc, and we believe there is currently sufficient information in the market place. We nevertheless intend to update the market before the announcement of the 2024 financial year results.

An update from an investor I trust on Twitter:

"Sold Warpaint London #W7L at 506p. Breakeven.

I spoke to the company. There is no trading update imminent.

They feel there is sufficient information in the market at present but they do intend to update the market before their results (expected in April)."

Surely they would want to improve their share price which has been in overall decline since June 24. Up and down but the trend is down and year to date it's down %3.16 today's figure. I put that down primarily to not enough news from them and the strange world events/markets of course. Maybe a TU is held up by accountants also...
