I was tempted too. I had 1% of my SIPP value in cash but have had a point of HTG with results tomorrow. Pure gamble but it's nice to have a flutter once in a while.

I can feel a buying urge creeping up on me...
600 seems a nice round number to accumulate at. At least I will remember it!

Those whispers are voices in your head. They must be given you've still got open shorts at £4.18.And haven't you just admitted to insider trading? I thought you were stupid but wow...

Fundamentals, research charting and a quality whisper from the inside always the best 🫨

Yes disco I think I'm going to sit on it until it feels like the right time to sell some. I don't think I'll sell the whole position, but if I see something I like, or tech starts to wobble, I will sell some.

Better sell Fundsmith now before Starmer doubles the CGT rates (buy a few back for your Sipp/ISA though)

The chart of W7L seems to keep repeating itself, up 2 or 3 steps, down 1 and so on for months, may it continue...

I guess I'll hold Fundsmith but tempted to sell to buy a house, I hold it within Fundsmith direct not in a stocks/shares account unfortunately.

VillaYou mentioned your holding in L&G Tech fund being 20% of your PF.I'm holding both Fidelity Global Tech and L&G which are currently about 18% of my fund / ETF portfolio. Which I'm comfortable with, they don't always move the same and sometimes in opposite directions so I'm comfortable with 18% directly in Tech funds (that said most US funds have tech holdings too). Not held as long, bought 2020 and sold then bought back again. Both are doing okay, top two in the PF (then Fundsmith) and I'm just going to hold now and see what happens. Each to their own IMO, I tend to go on gut rather than hard and fast rules.

Same. I've held Fundsmith for years and I've doubled my money on it. It's my 'value investing' play given the way Smith invests.

I hold Fundsmith, I just keep it invested long term, don't worry about weekly/monthly moves unless you need the money. If you sell within an ISA, don't withdraw the cash as you'll lose the tax wrapper element of the ISA. Either leave cash in your ISA Stocks & Shares a/c or buy something else, don't withdraw!!

Anyone invested in Fundsmith Equity here? It's gone from Ace to a bit doggy lately imho. I've had it for ten years in an isa so it's done well over that time but very choppy lately over 4 months. If i sell it and stick proceeds in the bank I'm paranoid about Starmers tax stormtroopers raping and pillaging my account...

Stuck W7L and ATT in my ii ISA today, bit of protection. huh maybe...

Maybe that's how it originated, but valid points made for me at least, a high PE will put some folk off, but the high earnings justify it - and i think next set of figures will be extremely good so no problem growth at 17% p/yr I think again is too low.
So the drop is a buy...

It is AI. SWS has a decent screening tool but the articles are machine generated for sure.
