28/5/2024 22:57 | This simple graphic shows the difference in valuation between ELF and W7L. As Shore Capital often point out; Warpaint are still in the foothills of their global growth opportunity. W7L are now, where ELF were a few years back. No reason W7L can't replicate that growth going forward imo. | someuwin
28/5/2024 21:58 | Thanks for this Sogoesit Warpaint (W7L) principal price points: £4.50/£4.95 and £5.95 (Highest £9.95) E.l.f: £7 / £8 / £9 / £10 (Some "stuff", appliers, brushes, etc. at £3) Amin, elf CEO, interviewed on CNBC last night mentioning US price points at $4.50, $6.50 and $9.50. The low end taking market share, +38% y-o-y, from the mid and high end L'Oreal, Revlon, Maybelline etc. So ELF is kind of a similar offering considering the yanks are richer than us (I keep reading) it bodes very well for Warpaint imho. Not sure L'Oreal would make an offer as they seem to be more upmarket and may dent their image a bit to do 'cheap stuff' also? But what do I know!! If a takeover offer is made for W7L it had better be a stonking price per share!! | rar100
28/5/2024 17:08 | And down again brilliant 🩳🤣 | qsmeily456
26/5/2024 10:15 | Thanks for the correction carcosa. I'm not in the financial markets business so terminology can be inaccurate but the fact that you can only operate via an intermediary is true. I was likening it to market maker stocks on AIM where there is no direct access or algo trading. | melton john
25/5/2024 19:40 | As they move in to more stores in the US, then there may be more exposure. The US may become bigger than the European operations. In this case they may allow a chunk of shares in to the US for US funds. All depends what demand is. I still think a bigger company like L'Oréal will make a bid | 3ootuk
25/5/2024 17:43 | There are no market makers for Warpaint. Trades occur through negotiations between broker-dealers in the OTC dealer network. Currently there are only around 200 shares to buy. Anymore and the broker will have to source them from elsewhere, presumably from the LSE. Only when you have large cap stocks with liquidity will it be more akin to AIM | carcosa
25/5/2024 11:30 | It's a low cost way of UK companies getting some US exposure eg Sainsbury It's quote driven via market makers like most of aim. | melton john

24/5/2024 15:02 | Ok but still do many firms migrate from here to an exchange? What's the point of this listing? | ynot68
24/5/2024 10:39 | Warpaint (W7L) principal price points: £4.50/£4.95 and £5.95 (Highest £9.95) E.l.f: £7 / £8 / £9 / £10 (Some "stuff", appliers, brushes, etc. at £3) Amin, elf CEO, interviewed on CNBC last night mentioning US price points at $4.50, $6.50 and $9.50. The low end taking market share, +38% y-o-y, from the mid and high end L'Oreal, Revlon, Maybelline etc. (Products, not "quantity" adjusted) Worth comparing the financials... Elf vs W7L: High debt / No debt - High marketing spend / Low marketing spend / - High influencers / low influencers etc As ever DYOR | sogoesit
24/5/2024 10:04 | ELF doubt🤣u | qsmeily456
24/5/2024 09:23 | Don't have the time right now? Too busy wasting time posting on a BB. LMAO | saint or sinner?
23/5/2024 21:40 | Is the ELF product range more expensive than Warpaint, i.e. a more upmarket range or similar to warpaint in pricing (in appealing to youngsters without too much money) just wondered if anyone has compared the products. I would but don't have the time right now. | rar100
23/5/2024 19:30 | Predictable 2 🤣🤣 QsmeIly456 16 May '24 - 08:12 - 2209 of 2235 Edit 0 0 1 ❤️ the ramping here comes another opportunity to 🩳🩳 So much future growth the ceo sold up 🫨 | qsmeily456
23/5/2024 10:09 | Accumulating here at the pull-back from the break-out. Don't worry, it's just a technical accumulation... for those who may want to short ;-) and I'm a bit low on exposure in this position. 500-515 is the marker. GLA | sogoesit
23/5/2024 09:34 | The OTCQX is not an exchange. It is the highest tier of the over-the-counter (OTC) markets operated by OTC Markets Group. Currently the dealer only has 214 shares to sell. That is quite a normal level for a company like Warpaint | carcosa
23/5/2024 09:16 | Anyone researched frequency of firms being promoted from this OTCQX exchange? | ynot68
23/5/2024 08:14 | Maybe but can't argue with price. Perceived value of the listing is greater than actual value perhaps? | ichitrader
23/5/2024 06:18 | Maybe we should get on the phones Wolf of Wall Street style and start selling WLNFT to the yanks? | 3ootuk
23/5/2024 06:04 | TIG... 600 (roughly GBP1200) shares traded year to date on OTCQX on a GBP450m company. Need I say more? | carcosa
22/5/2024 14:40 | TIG started trading there last month. Up 30% since then... | ichitrader
22/5/2024 13:17 | I Agree; never seen any impact for over here for companies reading on that market. Just a marker for when they have a sizeable US market later in the year and '25. | faz
22/5/2024 09:34 | With the exception of near billion dollar companies some of the problem with trading on the OTCQX is: Low liquidity and for companies like W7L, practically nil trading volumes. OTCQX is not a Stock Exchange Investors cannot trade directly on the OTCQX. They must go through a broker-dealer. Prices are set by an Inter-dealer quotation system. Shareholders do not have to disclose their holdings to the LSE. OTCQX stocks more susceptible to price manipulation or fraud compared to exchange trading. So why did W7L do it? It only costs about $5,000 and appoint a professional third-party advisor called a Principal American Liaison (PAL) to provide guidance. There are practically zero reporting requirements. It's just a bit of PR. There are very few UK companies on the OTCQX but here is the website if you want some data: and e.g. - No trades since 4 April Warpaint can be found here: but cannot explain the prior year trads appearing there. Maybe OTC Pink Sheets? | carcosa |
