Now 20% below its recent 52w high. So IMO any IHT / BPR hit in the budget is virtually priced in.....I hope. If not then will be topping up.

Trades at the mid price so the computer can't assign it as a sell or a buy....so on here it's black rather than red or blue.Surprised you are asking tbh.

Timing and supply.

I understand that fewer product lines are sold in the US markets and they are not stocking throughout the year, although there is now some evidence to suggest that is changing.

Significant Christmas order has been received from Walmart, for W7 and Chit Chat product and the company is in discussions to stock the Group's all-year-round product.

Significant expansion planned with Five Below during H1 2024, including the stocking of an increased range of W7 product in all 1,544 of their stores, with a further 225+ Five Below stores expected to open in the over 12 months stocking W7 products.

So although there are a large number of stores signed up the company has yet to fulfill deliveries of stock to many of those stores.

The Group's sales in the US saw modest growth in the first half of 2024, rising by 1% overall (3% when adjusting for currency fluctuations). The company focused on expanding its presence with larger retailers while moving away from deep discounters. This shift in strategy led to more sales coming from the Group's own brands with very few clearance or close-out sales

The company also brought in a new management team in the US to focus on improving profitability by targeting higher-margin customers. Rather than relying on retailers that focus on selling products at deep discounts, the new team prioritized more profitable business relationships. As a result, US sales in the first half of 2024 generated significantly higher profits than in previous periods, with gross margins increasing by 12 percentage points.

Looking ahead to the second half of 2024, US sales are expected to be stronger than in the first half, as the Group fulfills gifting orders, including a large Christmas order from Walmart for its W7 and Chit Chat brands, which will positively impact performance.

That's my understanding.

It's early days yet where the US is concerned. The Top Team are constantly reiterating that organic growth is the way ahead and for what it's worth I agree. That is how they have progressed in the UK and there should be no reason why that method would not work over the pond.

Can anyone shed some light on why the US numbers are so minimal considering the no. of stores is 6200?
