29/7/2019 15:38 | no rush.....surely plenty of opportunities to pick up a bargain with the Brexit car crash fast approaching...... | jaf111
29/7/2019 15:31 | I've put a limit order at £12...no doubt these are undervalued Still I do think we need some acquisition news at some point. Having £20m plus capital allocated effectively for one business producing about £1m pbt isn't efficient medium term | yamaha865
29/7/2019 12:37 | very very happy to have added again at 1200p....now back to my old position pre-tenders | jaf111
10/7/2019 08:07 | T'was amazing to see around £140k traded yesterday - who are these people who are selling at 1150p or so when they could have tendered at 1290p only a month or so?! Were they all on holiday? Just bizarre. There are only 1.834m shares in issue now, so at 1215p the m/cap is just £22.3m (the ADVFN fundamentals in the header are out of date), relative to likely £20.5m+ net cash plus Shire Foods. Now we just need to see Shire (including its freehold property) sold for say £8m-£9m and we'll be quids in again. Hopefully some acquisition news soon too. | rivaldo
09/7/2019 13:20 | Here's hoping for some more selling....i want to pick up more at £12....... Pretty please...... | jaf111
09/7/2019 12:43 | I should note i took the opportunity to add at some £12.20 (about a third of the small proportion I tendered at £12.90) | yamaha865
09/7/2019 12:42 | Does seem nuts- assuming about £20m cash this implies a value for shareholding of Shire of about £2.3m- this for a profitable and growing business which should deliver over £1m pbt this year We need another investment to awaken interest, or a sale of Shire for maybe £10m would do nicely :) | yamaha865
09/7/2019 07:45 | Who has just sold 1,000 shares @ £11.45?????? or perhaps more to the point.....WHY??????? | jaf111
08/7/2019 08:03 | Not unexpected but the share price has drifted back down post tender.....just bought back some at 1240p making it a nice trade will buy back more if price drifts even lower.... ps able to deal well inside the 1170 - 1280 quoted bid offer spread....actual spread is around 40p..... | jaf111
27/6/2019 06:33 | Another article on Shire's new vegan sausage rolls: Note the further expansion of the range over the "coming months": "Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, says: "The launch of our new vegan range is in response to our growing, ethically inspired customer base, looking for delicious alternatives to meat and another example of our ongoing commitment to cater for all diets, at everyday low prices. We look forward to expanding our vegan offering even further over the coming months.” | rivaldo
26/6/2019 09:25 | Great news for Shire Foods - hopefully the Greggs publicity will have a follow-on effect for Aldi's vegan pastries: "Leamington food producer is rolling out vegan pastry snack for Aldi Tuesday 25 June 2019 A Leamington food producer has developed a new vegan sausage roll which is being sold in Aldi stores across the country. Shire Foods, in Tachbrook Road, has launched the No Sausage Rolls with Aldi as part of its ongoing relationship with the retailer. It will supply more than 100,000 of the tasty vegan snacks to Aldi stores each week - helping to provide even more choice for the estimated 3.5million people in the UK who favour a plant-based diet. While the new product is not the first vegan offering that Shire Foods has developed, it is the first that will be readily available on supermarket shelves, joining Shire’s existing range of pies and pasties in Aldi’s 830 stores across the UK. Kevin Newey, Commercial Manager at Shire Foods, said: “We’ve worked closely with Aldi to create a delicious vegan-friendly product for shoppers to enjoy, and we’re confident that the No Sausage Rolls will be incredibly popular with vegans and non-vegans alike. “Our long-standing partnership with Aldi has helped us to grow significantly in recent years, as well as providing us with the stability to develop new products and expand our range. We look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.” Shire Foods uses only the finest ingredients in all its products and maintains the highest standards of welfare in everything it does, earning a Brand Reputational Compliance AA* accreditation, as well as a membership of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil. The business, which employs approximately 130 people, has worked with Aldi since 2008. During that time, it has experienced rapid growth, creating an additional thirty jobs in its production site to meet the growing demand. Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, said: “Collaborating with British suppliers has been key to our growth, so we’re pleased to be able to support Shire Foods with the launch of their No Sausage Rolls. "Their fantastic range of pies and pasties have already proven popular with our shoppers and we’re already seeing fantastic feedback for the new vegan offering too.” | rivaldo

25/6/2019 21:13 | AGM report posted at Cube.Investments for paying members: | rndm355
25/6/2019 12:46 | Anyone go to the AGM yesterday? I couldn't attend this year. EDIT - I note that Andrew Cohen has disposed of all his shares in the tender. That's a big overhang gone for the future. | rivaldo
24/6/2019 18:30 | westcountryboy - precisely my thinking. Sold 3/5 as was 10% of my portfolio. Plenty happy to sit on the balance for a while. | markdallara
24/6/2019 15:34 | to prove that point, here's the same chat person working with the Lloyds platform just now: You: Good afternoon Ellen: Good afternoon, how can i help? You: I held 1,000 shares in Volvere plc in my ISA. Recently the company had a tender offer. I tendered half my holding, 500 shares. The shares were taken out of my account a few days ago, and today the money has appeared. However, at the same time my remaining 500 shares have also disappeared from my account. Ellen: We ate just finishing procesing the event now my colleagues have said the money will be released within the next couple of days. You: I've received the money, that isn't the problem. The problem is my remaining 500 shares have disappeared Ellen: The shares have been bought off you with a Tender offer once you have received the money the shares are removed. That is why the shares have disappeared from your account. You: Please could you read again what I wrote. I don't want to have to explain for a third time. I'll cut it off there. :-) | constable ken
24/6/2019 14:12 | Yeah, thanks zoolook and glawsiain. Looks like we're all in the same boat at least! | wirralowl
24/6/2019 13:56 | They also don’t let you buy VLE any more | zoolook
24/6/2019 13:47 | Thanks for the update Zoolook. iweb is cheap and ok for straightforward matters, but I had to setup the HL account as iweb don't pay out the full amount of the dividends from companies such as Somero. | glawsiain
24/6/2019 13:40 | Same experience glawsiain. I followed up with IWEB this morning You are chatting with: Ellen You: I held Volvere (VLE) and there was a share buyback and I elected to submit my whole holding and there was 100% take up by shareholders. The money should have been paid into my account in the middle of last week but so far received nothing. You: Just checked and with my Hargreaves Lansdown account I received the money on 19 June so it is very poor that money is being held up so long by IWeb Ellen: We do try and process corporate actions a quickly as possible but sometimes they can take longer than expected, i am just checking with my colleagues now on this one. You: It was also notable that your requirement for a decision whether to exercise the rights was also far earlier than Hargreaves Lansdown Ellen: I have spoken to my colleagues the event has been fully processed and we are not waiting for it to be released to all customers my colleagues said that should happen in the next couple of days. You: Can you log this as a customer complaint Ellen: Our Advise dates are to allow our team to be able to process and send off all the elections properly. I can certainly log this as complaint for you. You: I confirm that I would like this logged. Your processing is unacceptably slow. You: Are you still there? Ellen: I will certainly get this logged for you, in regards to the complaint, we endeavour to process the corporate actions as promptly as we can. We did receive the money from the corporate action on the 19th, and from there our agreed time scales for processing and releasing the money is 10 working days. We are still within that time scale so on this occasion i will not be able to update your complaint. Ellen: It will be closed down today but you will receive a complaints confirmation letter with your FOS rights through the post should you want to take this further. You: Is the 10 working days in your T's and C's ? Ellen: Our T&C's state that we will process these payments promptly, we have chosen to interpret that as 10 working days, as more than satisfactory to get these payments to customers. | zoolook
24/6/2019 13:36 | I tendered 100% of my shares with IG and Share.com. IG cash came in this morning and Share.com Wednesday or Thursday last week. | molrey
24/6/2019 13:32 | wirralOwl. I tendered shares from both HL and iweb accounts. HL money came through last week, but still waiting on iweb. | glawsiain
24/6/2019 12:53 | Still waiting for my cash from the tender with iweb...anyone else? | wirralowl
23/6/2019 20:02 | I think most tenderers were overexposed and trying to cut risks in case we are stuck in Shire and nothing else for quite a long time. It was rational to sell some in that case and I don't think they'll (we'll!) be biting again unless the shares are available at a greater discount. | westcountryboy |
