Agree with Shanklin. Re the DEKA acquisition they said they expected to complete in January 2021. Delay possibly nothing major but new CFO is certainly less experienced in acquisitions than the previous one - could this be holding them up? Hopefully an announcement on completion soon

Now the big question is will it break out or spike back below £3.40 ?

In a separate account from my core holding i have traded vlx twice to £3.50 i would think many others have.without news maybe the next trading range will be £3.75-£4.00,but news on acquisitions we should really kick on.It is tempting for me to sell when i have large profits here, but trading stops me from doing so as i feel i am banking some £'s.Each to their own i guess

The good thing is, after we do finally and properly break through 350, 350 will probably act as quite a strong support level. In other words, a lot of sellers that wanted to get out at 350 will now have done so, so in future when we come to test this level there won't be many people looking to get out at that level. But we do need some good news to cleanly get us through the 350 level, and I'm confident it will come soon.

Toppy... or coiling like a spring?

Each time it has got into the 350 range it has been met by selling.
But look at that volume decreasing. Suggests to me that there are fewer willing to sell at that price. All it will take is a gentle nudge - and maybe breakout.

Lets see, might be worth a trade if it gets to 355 with a stop at 320.

The story sounds good here - and director buying.

AYE,CHUCKLE

WHO IS

There always a hidden agenda even with banks and brokers

i guess thats why one should take time to research diligently

what it does, ie the fool is bring a potential investment to ones attention

For me its looking a little toppy unless it can break thru the resistence with some super news

Need something to get it through 350p - a good acquisition is the obvious answer in the short term - and there's supposed to be a few on the cards.

"Ever since the CFO departure we seem to be taking off" When Daren Morris left on the 12th of November the share price was 260p. The recovery had been well under way long before the change in CFO. I've held this share from 52p in June 2017. Daren Morris and Nat Rothschild had done a superb job of turning this company around. I like the story. Until anything changes I intend to hold for a lot longer. Good luck all.

Do we think that's a portfolio rule sell? VLX not exactly "micro" now, some would even say they're mid rather than small cap.

I think they are only selling out the UK Micro fund, other trusts/funds also hold Volex.

Small Company Sharewatch @SCSWSharewatch ·34m

#VLX keeping a close eye on this, share price 'simmering' at all time highs. Recently new broker Stifel appointed. 3 key 'props' to its 410p target : Data centre revenues + 57% y/y in 1H21 ; EV revenues surged 78% and of course 3 deals being worked on

Could be a trading update here any day now. Nat Rothschild also mentioned at the interim results presentation that one or two more acquisitions were possible this year. Exciting times ahead!
