Having said that, there is a 3 peak resistance at just above 350. So don't expect this to go up much for a few weeks, maybe months.

Volex is not on IG's list of shares to be discontinued, or needing more margin, unless I'm going blind. Suspect this fall is in some way related though, to holders needing more cover for holdings they have which ARE on the list. Whatever, suspect this is a temporary fall and thus a buying opportunity. Have nibbled a bit more.

Guess the margin requirement at IG increased on this share - so punters had to stump up more cash or sell down their positions. Lot of volume in this since November 30 million shares traded at above the current price. Expect to see serious executive management purchases in the next week from the entire team.

Agreed - they should up the dividend materially IMO. Probably will if they don't get their 3 acquisitions done by March (I recall this promised on the November call)

If I was an IG client I would also haul them to the regulator for leaking to preferred clients before others

https://www.standard.co.uk/business/ig-index-blocks-retail-investors-from-more-than-1000-smallcap-stocks-shares-fall-b920791.html Will wash out by Friday and then bounces will be on. Market makers just rinsing the cfd gamblers in collusion with IG routed order flow. IG should get in front of regulators and get fined for routed order flow manipulation

Economy set to recover from £250bn Covid hit by Christmas Recovery roadmap to 'take shackles off' economy with lifting of all restrictions by June 21 triggering rapid rebound, say economists ByRussell Lynch, ECONOMICS EDITOR22 February 2021 • 6:35pm The British economy could roar back to its pre-Covid level by the end of the year after Boris Johnson "released the shackles" on consumers and businesses with his roadmap out of lockdown. Growth will surge as restrictions are gradually eased and households race to spend savings built up during months of mass closures, according to Capital Economics. By the end of the year, its analysts expect GDP to have regained levels reached before the pandemic struck - meaning the country will have clawed back more than £250bn of output lost to Covid in one of the sharpest recoveries in history. Fellow consultant Oxford Economics expects the UK to be among the world’s fastest-growing advanced economies this year following its blistering vaccine rollout and the decision to lift all restrictions by late June.

Stuck in this channel. Any close below £3 would be a concern. Otherwise all good.

Bojo - hardly just a plug maker - suggest you research a bit more. SN - 0.9% dividend yield is nothing to write home about - close to a deposit account - hoping they raise.

Tesla now 20% off its highs; Volex has followed Tesla up on the back of EV hype and 16x EBITDA for a plug maker is looking toppy!

Buy the dips. I did better than Sir Peter's 339.5p! Lots of write-ups seem positive about this co. This is the article on Twitter ref: Downing Strategic Micro‐Cap Investment Trust. hxxps://assets-us-01.kc-usercontent.com/8c961317-6aee-00a7-e4b6-ae38cd847d2d/7c464a55-56e6-4652-874e-64f7ded32e6f/PE3052_DSM_Investor_Letter_Feb_21.pdf Also, a "whatsit" nap for this year, when it was recommended you could only get for 319p, so we're about back to that price. Directors buying up to 270p I believe. I'm in for a few more today.

Following JLR this week saying that all future Jaguar models will be electric - somebody here wondered if JLR use Volex for their cable connectors. I asked. Seems they use LAPP. Lapp Holding AG operates as a holding company. The Company, through its subsidiaries, manufactures industrial connectors, customized cable systems, and spiral cables.
