The demand for volex products are only going to go up. EV growth is going to be massive, Hospitals have some catching up to do, Data centres increasing, Demand of gaming and electric products will continue to go up. I can only see these multi bagging for many years to come.

If it keeps going down, I'll keep adding. Long term this still looks very strong (as you said). Thanks for your feedback JohnDoe23

my entry point was poorly timed at 299 and 295. I'm adding here to average down as I see this nearing a technical support line that is likely to hold

Oh I'm not too bothered by the share price Valhamos. If you check my past posts I've been here a long time. I just thought with the recent crowd that just joined it may be a good time to take profits and buy back in lower. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I'm still very confident. Good luck all.....Sooty

Could go lower but seems like a good entry level for any newbies imo

Sooty - relax; you said a few days ago that you've been in VLX since 2016 (and I've been in since 2012) so you must know how the price is prone to move around a bit. Nothing untoward this time for longer term investors like us.

Taken a few this morning. When these sellers lob their allocated lines, this will bounce back and eventually smash through £3 on fundamentals. Trading momentum is too strong here, further upgrades on their way imo.

Nice opportunity for a top up here, icing on cake was the recommendation from SCSW which has a buy at these levels, target for me is £4+ back end of next year.

Yes igoe104, seems like they increased their Volex stake to 6.5% in July and have been selling since then on the spike as per their monthly newsletters.
Would be nice to see an RNS to see some new institutions who have been buying these shares as there has been a lot of volume soaking up Downing and Ruffer and its certainly not just PI's!!

Its Ruffer, selling again. They have gone below 10% now....I'm going to ride this winner out myself. Cars companies will stop investing into petrol and diesel companies Projects and start concentrating on EV Projects.

I know this is a month old, but I don't recall it arousing any comment. Too small a detail?

"Nat always gives good pointers to what lies ahead. One comment from the results presentation, which struck me was

'we see significant opportunities to increase Volex's share in the data center space'

I was intrigued by that as well. I was thinking he had been given the nod by Mellanox who I understand is their largest customer for direct attach copper cables that volumes would be increased or possible new products or even acquisitions in this space. Mellanox is now owned by Nvidia who are keen to make further inroads into data centres.

Well, except as per post above, I made more out of the likes of FRES, TW., DLAR, POLY, GLEN and a number of others than I would have done holding on to all of these, not to mention the diversification and risk mitigation.

But it wouldn't have been a bad shout to just hold them, I'll admit.

😎

My point earlier wasn't about what I did or didn't do - it was just that real value-adding insight from 'experts' would have been to call this from 32p or even from 85-90 a year ago - which is what Ruffer were doing by buying in and staying in.
