I've also been looking through the accounts published today from Volex (LON:VLX) for the year-ended 31 Mar 2013. They are published in US dollars, so remember to convert into sterling! This looks a much better turnaround situation than Molins, in my opinion.

They had a poor 20012/13, with normalised diluted EPS down from 42.4c to 11.2c. However, they have done their restructuring, which is expected to deliver $17.5m in annualised cost savings from the current year, so a pretty big rebound in profits looks on the cards. They have also splashed out heavily on capex, and reduced headcount from a recent peak of 9,750 to 7,300.

Despite this, the Balance Sheet looks OK to me, and net debt looks manageable. The 3c final divi for the year has been maintained, so 5c total for the year equates to about 3.3p per share, which at 97p actually looks quite attractive - if they are paying this yield of 3.4% when things have been pretty messy, then that surely leaves scope for considerably higher dividends once the cost savings feed through to better profitability.

I'm tempted to buy a few of these actually.

They now have a GBX 120 ($1.82) price target on the stock, up previously from GBX 105 ($1.59). Separately, analysts at Jefferies Group reiterated a buy rating on shares of Volex Plc in a research note to investors on Tuesday. They now have a GBX 130 ($1.97) price target on the stock. Finally, analysts at Jefferies Group reiterated a buy rating on shares of Volex Plc in a research note to investors on Thursday, April 11th. They now have a GBX 129.98 ($1.97) price target on the stock.

Just watched the investor presentation from yesterday, quite open, honest and informative, for those who don't mind waiting a year this I believe will be a very good investment.
