VOD is giving you at least 1p - 1.5p move up/down everyday... |
The market is attempting to confuse the shorter timescale players. The ship is turning. Sit back and enjoy the ride. We're heading to much higher prices (in the longer term). |
CURYman...you are here?... |
Someone at GS has forgotten to push the buyback algo |
Back to 68p...what price when the market flush out comes... |
Piku you are not thinking straight again? lol |
What is the total remuneration package for the General Management team?... |
Do you really think peace is going to happen? This is an existential fight for Ukraine just like it was for North Vietnam and unification of the country. They fought American to exhaustion. |
Being propped up by the buyback so would be good to actually have some gains under its own steam. Buyback was 1/3 of the volume yesterday |
This must go up now as peace in the air and growth may return to Europe. |
Mobile network operators Vodafone and Three UK (CK Hutchison) have this afternoon announced their newly formed General Management Team for the future merged company. The new appointments followed a selection process and were approved by the MergeCo Governance Board, with representatives of both operators as shareholders of the new entity. |
One of those expires in May anyway so imagine they will pay the lot off. |
Is that RNS going to give me my whoosh? |
VOD is on sets... |
The percentages are the same regardless of size. its a nearly 2p per share dividend being bought in shares in the market place on 1 or 2 days |
Not sure you can blame MMs.. it's not some AIM punter stock |
This is exactly as I expected. MMs push up the price into the share divi reinvestment period and sell to the investor at the higher price. Then, sure enough once the demand is filled, the share tumbles. I now don't reinvest my divi. I instead sell into the strength. In this case 69.7p. I will buy shares back plus divi amount when the price settles back down. |
Finding it hard to hold 70+... market once again looking for something to mark it down! |
RR. was completely wrongly priced during covid shutdown on assumption airline disruption would last longer..it didn't...unlike telcos no shutdown...telcos just shot themselves in the foot with freebies galore...and those US mega tech companies have milked it... |
Likewise CF, I've averaged down to 1.05 over the last 2 years, so not a happy bunny. When you think, just spent the last 30 years in Telco's so should have know better. |
should it read 25000 |
I don't think these are going to shoot up as we wish from here, a la RR. But I am hoping for this to be the start of a turn around. Both VOD and BT have been forced to borrow and invest heavily over recent years. At some point they need to be allowed to recover their costs to be in a position to do things all over again in the future. It is also difficult for them to rapidly swing expectations of what people/companies pay since we are used to free minutes and data everywhere now, but things will change over time as nothing is for free forever. |
my average buy is 81p, so at capital loss but overall gain. a few pennies on the share price makes a lot of difference. not sure i will hold it if it ever makes it back to buy price though. too many disappointments. it was meant to be an anchor in my portfolio, has been more like jonah though. nothing has happened to reward the employees for. |
