               ID Data signs #2.2 million contract with Vodafone



ID Data plc, the UK's largest supplier of secure transaction systems and smart
card services, today announces the Company has entered into a #2.2 million
supply contract with Vodafone UK to deliver support services to Vodafone's
innovative pre-pay platform.



In the initial contract ID Data will supply Vodafone UK with support services
for the Pay as you Talk market.  The supply of these solutions illustrates the
adaptability of ID Data, by fulfilling the demands for greater flexibility in
both product offerings and pre-paid solutions.



This is the first contract between Vodafone and ID Data and it is expected to
establish an ongoing relationship between the two companies.  Vodafone UK will
have the opportunity to access the latest card solutions and technology from
ID Data.
