Yes, will be interesting to see where the share price drops to and whether larger investors then take the opportunity to take up the excess.

My main concern is to win contracts...

As expected, there will be a slight revenue shortfall:

"there will be a modest shortfall in
turnover against market expectations for the year to 30 June 2007, although net
loss and cash will be in line with market expectations"

Quite a lot to absorb in the way of new technical development, new contracts and new offices being opened.

Very good progress, but they really need to get the revenue rolling in, imo.

VIVIDAS GROUP PLC

Announcement of new customers under annual revenue contracts and
brief comment on trading

Vividas, the video streaming technology company, announces the signing of two
significant annual contracts with Thomson Holidays, part of TUI AG, and
Sensis(R), part of Telstra Corporation. These are described in further detail
below.

The Company announced on 7 February 2007 that it was concentrating on the key
products of VivStream PPV, VivStream Event and VivStream Corporate. The
Company is looking to sign annual contracts and partnerships to secure
underlying revenue, but the negotiations globally have taken longer than
expected. Product releases have also been later than expected, primarily due
to recruitment of new coders and testers required to meet the demand being
behind schedule in Australia. As a result, there will be a modest shortfall in
turnover against market expectations for the year to 30 June 2007, although net
loss and cash will be in line with market expectations.

The Company has today released its new player which gives significantly greater
functionality with browser integration and ad-serving capabilities. The player
now has greater penetration into corporates, increased protection capabilities,
and full player control functionality. The Company is also expecting to release
into Beta in the very near future its High Definition On-demand encoders which
will enable customers and channels to create quickly their own High Definition
content in Vividas format.

In Europe, an annual contract and partnership has been signed with Thomson
Holidays, a division of TUI UK and part of TUI AG, the largest tourism and
services group in the world. Thomson will use a Vividas encoding suite to enable
customers to view the most popular destinations in its global portfolio of
holiday hotels and resorts in full screen, broadcast quality. It will stream
over 200 of its 2,000 strong video archive using Vividas technology. The
partnership underlines the marked shift online for the travel industry with
most holidaymakers using the web to select and research their holidays rather
than the traditional high street store and brochure route of the past.

"Providing our customers with videos of holiday destinations is an important
part of our commitment to quality customer service. These days most customers
expect to see videos on the web before they travel and, since we have added this
option to our site, we have noticed a sharp increase in sales conversion rates,"
said Neil Swanson, Head of Sales and Operations at Thomson. "We thought it was
time to improve the overall viewing experience by working with a partner like
Vividas. This will enable our customers to watch videos in the best possible
quality, shown full screen on their PCs."

In Australia an annual agreement has been signed to stream video for Car
Showroom, Sensis(R)' recently launched new car website. Sensis is part of
Telstra Corporation and provides services including YellowTM and White
Pages(R), Trading Post(R), CitySearch(R), UBD(R), Gregory's(R) and Whereis(R).
Vividas will provide a Vivcast On-demand encoding suite which allows Sensis to
encode its video content in-house to the Vividas format for fast, simple-to-
view, full screen delivery on Car Showroom.

The live VivStream Event product continues to deliver outstanding quality and
stability and has now been released with a payment gateway, Digital Rights
Management and back up redundancy capability. The live streaming of ten soccer
games from the Copa Libertadores for Fox Sports in the USA has worked very
well, with games being shown weekly. Additionally, through live low bandwidth
internet streaming and a multi-platform delivery, the recent World Boxing
Council International Super Featherweight title fight between Manny Pacquiao
and Jorge Solis was able to reach a global audience of sports and boxing fans.

With a significant increase in business forecast on the West Coast of America,
the Company has committed to open a regional office in Los Angeles, including
sales, production and support functions. This is expected to be fully
operational within six months. Commercial traction is increasing from the
signing of annual contracts and negotiations are progressing well and at
advanced stages in the USA. Following the release of a significantly improved
player and encoder functionality, the Company is confident of building on the
commercial contracts announced today.

Notes for Editors:

Vividas is an AIM-traded developer and provider of video streaming technology
and related products which enable straightforward playback on personal
computers of full screen, high quality video via discs or over networks,
including the Internet, normally without requiring software installation.
Vividas proprietary technology overcomes the disadvantages of competing CD and
streaming market solutions. These competing technologies typically offer only
partial screen, or poor quality full screen, viewing and generally require the
user either to have or to install specialist player software. For more

What's On At Broadcast Live 2007
For the second year running, Broadcast LIVE returns to Earls Court 2 from 19th – 21st June 2007.

This key three-day exhibition and conference programme is integral to any successful and expanding business within the broadcast industry, covering all aspects of the content chain through Create, Manage and Deliver. As shown at its launch last year the event provides an invaluable business and networking environment designed to embrace the future of multi-platform broadcasting, introducing and familiarising the broadcasting community to new advancements within the industry.

With the future of broadcast as one of its main concerns, there are a number of new items at Broadcast LIVE this year. As competition for the 'fourth screen' intensifies, special pod zones dedicated to both IPTV and Mobile technologies will feature at this year's show. This includes companies whose technology is situated right at the cutting edge of these new platforms such as Vividas and C3, with more exhibitors to be announced shortly.

Also new for 2007 is the Outside Broadcast area, which will be located at the back of the hall. New company Cammotion will be launching and holding their first public viewing of their Vortex Aerial Camera Mount System at the centre of this OB area, "The Vortex aerial camera mount system is the first of its kind designed for full size broadcast and film cameras. It lifts a camera from ground level to a height of 30 metres in 15 seconds."

For 2007 there will be new feature areas with an increase in content and exhibiting all stages of production from tapeless workflow, to HD, from asset management to podcasting. The conference programme has also changed with each speaker session lasting 1½ hours, so visitors gain an increased wealth of information. The rostrum of speakers for Broadcast LIVE this year is truly impressive with influential figures such as:

Patrick Walker – Head of Content Partnerships at Google
Lisa Opie – MD of Content for 5TV
Mary Turner – CEO of Tiscali
Annelies van den Belt – MD for Broadband at ITV
Charlotte Bowskill, Event Manager for the show at EMAP Media, comments: "Broadcast LIVE is the only UK based event to cover the entire content chain – from conception to delivery. We had a fantastic launch in 2006 and this has been reflected through our figures this year, with 80% stand space already booked-up and 5,000 pre-registered visitors. With the winning formula of leading industry exhibitors with a dedicated conference programme, and the introduction of new, ground-breaking exhibitors such as the ipods, we only expect figures to increase."

New exhibitors for 2007 include; EVS, Ianiro, Clear Cut, Sennheiser, Holdan, Signiant and Albany Creative, with regular influential businesses such as Avid Technology, Sony Broadcast and Omnibus also confirmed.

I don't know enough about the technology. Can others catch up? How useful are the patents? Does the increasing speed of broadband services eventually nullify the advantages of VDS? Others are offewring DRM - is what they are offering comparable or inferior?.

I was disappointed not to find their names on the Exhibitor list for the Las Vegas TV show. Obviously this tiny outfit cannot cover the world like Adobe and Microsoft. Their strong alliance in Spain ought to be rolling in business by now...

I bought at about 55p so I can afford to hold - especially with huge profits from SOLA and TMC for support, and I am relieved to say they did come off the bottom at 69/70p as I wrote earlier. Relieved that is unless they pitch downwards again after completing the TA prediction of a bounce to 77p (on the 33% counteroscillation theory)

The share price does seem to be getting back to more realistic levels based on what we currently know about the fundamentals of the business, revenue, profit etc.

That can all change with more contracts and news of significant revenue coming through, but until then it is highly speculative.

The operating loss for the half-year was 1.45 mln, narrowing from 1.7 mln a
year earlier, on sales of 588,000 stg, up from 426,000 stg. Sales of streaming
product increased by 80 pct to 528,000 stg in the period

is this the reason for todays drop??

Hello there.

I did hold! But within site of a nice profit becoming a loss ~:¬((

Posibly you agree that the sales thrust by Adobe and the widespread trumpeting of same has had the effect we see. Never mind. I'm confident that, given time
and some juicy contracts, VDS will more than recover this fall.
I'm still of the opinion that VDS is by far and away the best IPTV system
on offer.

Regards.

From long term observations it seems perfectly normal for a share price spike in a volatile, pre-commercial share, to retrace by 24 -40%. TA theory quotes the Fibonacci ratio, 38.2%, As a rule of thumb I work on a reversal of one third. That goes for sharp falls as well.

It is quite different when the sharp move ,up or more often down, is a response to unexpected news of a sudden change in the fundamentals. The reversal is then much smaller. I shall not worry unless/until VDS falls below 70p

At 75p the share price is still treble the end Jan price. Only latecomers, if leveraged, should really be worrying, and then only for the short term.

I think most people here are long-termers, so probably more interested in the development of company rather than short-term price fluctuations.

Based on revenue and profit forecasts the market cap may seem a little steep without further news, though.

Kulabyte(TM) And On2 Technologies Announce Improved Publishing Solutions for On2 VP6(TM) For Adobe(R) Flash(R) Video for Social

On2 VP6 encoding for multi-processor PCs brings speed and quality benefits to consumers and service providers through KulaByte's TimeSlice(TM) technology

LAS VEGAS, April 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- On2 Technologies, Inc., (AMEX:ONT), the leading provider of video compression software and solutions, and Kulabyte, a leading provider of advanced audio and video processing technologies, announced today from NAB 2007 an agreement to integrate KulaByte's TimeSlice(TM) technology with On2's VP6 for Flash video based personal and professional grade desktop encoding and publishing solutions. This announcement comes at the heels of a recent announcement of On2 VP6 licensing to Kulabyte for server based encoding.

"Bringing the power of KulaByte's multi-core video processing capabilities and exponential increase in encoding speed to consumers' desktops is a major benefit to consumers who actively participate in creation and publishing of user generated content and social networking videos," said Bill Joll, president and CEO of On2 Technologies. "As desktop PCs increasingly become multi-core, the combination of Kulabyte's technology with On2 VP6 for Flash will leverage these multi-core machines to the benefit of their owners. Given the popularity and amount of Flash video being used for such applications, this provides valuable time and resource efficiencies to users and service providers."

The personal encoding suite of products for VP6 for Flash is the first implementation of KulaByte's acceleration technology in a consumer grade software package. Deployment will include products for social network platforms, PC's, and mobile devices such as PDA's and smart phones. KulaByte's patent-pending multi-core encoding technology achieves significantly faster encoding speeds and higher quality video than standard encoding allows. The advantages of faster encoding derived from KulaByte's technology are particularly desirable for time sensitive content such as news, sports and live broadcasting.

"Despite increase in broadband speeds, video quality on the web suffers on account of encoding times and upload speeds," said Chris Gottschalk, chief technology officer of KulaByte. "On2 and KulaByte are setting a milestone for convenience and quality that consumers can achieve with their video creation and sharing, whether that be for web, mobile or targeted video devices."

On2 VP6 for Flash is becoming the dominant format for Internet video, licensed by Adobe for Adobe(R) Flash(R) Player 8 and 9. On2 provides the broadest range of encoding and publishing tools of any format within its Flix(R) branded products, increasingly aiding the adoption of VP6 based Flash video.

Kulabyte's TimeSlice(TM) technology delivers faster than real-time encoding, noticeably improved picture quality and significant bandwidth savings. Digital media creators can encode, and distribute digital content at speeds more than 12 times faster than standard industry platforms at comparable prices. The suite of KulaByte enabled desktop VP6 products will begin shipping at the beginning of Q3, 2007.

KulaByte and On2 are jointly demonstrating their technologies at the KulaByte booth (#SL13713) at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show in Las Vegas, April 16-19, 2007. Executives from KulaByte and On2 are available at the booth to meet with press and customers.
