08/3/2016 12:23 | Post 521 - but there could be another acquisition in the meantime. The markets seem to like it. | rotrader
04/3/2016 10:14 | Free Cashflow is the metric to look at, it is the gold standard quality measure. If you look at Headlam in the same sector they increased their cash balance by £19 Million over the last 12 months, while still making significant investments. James Halstead is also highly cash generative, so watch FCF imv. Both JHD and HEAD have no debt and large cash balances, that also needs to be allowed for in the VCP rating. Anyone in VCP anywhere near the turning point is probably not too bothered about sentiment. | essentialinvestor
01/3/2016 12:44 | Five acquisitions in 3 1/2 years isn't exactly "lots", Bunzel makes an acquisition a week. And given how good VCP's results were at the half year, the first 3 acquisitions have clearly integrated smoothly. GBW has 20 years experience of M&A and has made a fortune at it. And a month ago the company announced all subsidiaries were trading ahead of expectations. You've sold too soon and are going to miss out! | wendydc
01/3/2016 09:25 | Just sold - RSI was looking a bit high and I'm concerned on the business having lots of acquisitions to integrate. Good luck remaining holders - I'll be happy to be proved wrong :) | alphabeta4
19/2/2016 13:15 | Numis met up with GW:- 'Could see company sold for 3 X current price within 18 months. Undiscovered gem. BUY' | countryman5
17/2/2016 18:12 | We will have to wait for the results in July to find out anymore - but there could be another acquisition in the meantime. | rotrader
17/2/2016 17:01 | Interesting in a gossipy sort of way. A superficial article from a lightweight journalist. More interested in how much Wilding has made than decent analysis of the business opportunity. | wendydc

13/2/2016 22:07 | bearsie 10 Oct'15 - 21:57 - 492 of 515 0 0 The comment on the other thread - regarding the CFD. I think that the company say they are indemnified for NI payments and tax but that means HMRC have to go for the Camden Trust instead. My only concern for the CFD is that the directors have a liability for doing the CFD when they knew they could not pay (this was confirmed when they said that they would give shares instead of cash because they could not meet the obligation). I thought that companies could not enter into agreements they knew that they could not fulfill? Does GBW have a claim on the assets of the company in that case and what liability is there against the company in terms of agreeing a deal that they knew they could not fulfill? omg | dlku
11/2/2016 12:35 | A retracement at the moment till next RNS, lets hope its good news. | rotrader
10/2/2016 15:12 | Why is the share price dropping so much? The only news from the company since its results announcement in November (when the shares were £14) has been confirmation three weeks ago that trading is better than expected and that a director has been buying shares. Also ScS and John Lewis, who are big customers, have announced strong home furnishing sales. All positive. So why are the shares dropping? | wendydc
08/2/2016 14:46 | CANTORS TAKE: VCP capable of growing earnings per share by between 15% and 20% p.a. over the next three years. It will continue to seek earnings enhancing acquisitions, which we believe have already been identified, start to benefit from synergies with the objective of improving EBITDA margins from 10% to 12%, and use scale to increase sales not only to the dominant independent sector but also to the multiples and the trade. Acquisitions have been predominantly funded by debt which is forecast to decline to £48m by end of March 2017 (1.5x EBITDA) The company has a ‘war chest’ of c.£50m for acquisitions in FY2017 BUY recommendation, valued at 11.9x FY2017 forecasts and TP of 1,650p, broadly valuing the company at 17.5x FY2017 earnings. | whatstockking
