They paid the mid at close yesterday which seems fair enough. Interesting to see which institutions have bought in.

Victoria (BUY) – Another compelling acquisition
VCP LN (1,113p, TP 1,400p from 1,200p), Market Cap: £162.1m
(Corporate stock)

Quest Carpets looks like another impressive acquisition and will be significantly enhancing to earnings based on an acquisition price of 4.9x historic EBITDA. FY2017 forecasts have been raised by over 20%. Furthermore, the share price will continue to be driven by the opportunity to generate synergies from recent acquisitions and the potential for further earnings enhancing acquisitions. Our TP is raised to £14.

Get that old spreadsheet out Shanks - remember they only had 3 months of Whitestone Weavers in the year gone too.

AIM and illiquid so you have to do your research and keep it sensible too.

All imo.

Shanks - if VCP did nearly 20p eps in H1 last year and with the Abingdon acquisition alone they increase sales by 200%, and there are synergies and margins are increasing - think about what the actual eps might be - allowing for higher interest rate charges.

I read that article above and the reference to debt/assets. Do they not look like they will be making enough profit per annum to pretty much pay all their debt off in 3 years if they wanted to?

Suspect the current forward earnings forecasts are well below what's likely to be reported as with this year imo.

All imo

No position here yet, but definitely interested. Please could somebody explain how this could be viewed as a GARP share.

Thank you.

Heard it all before from the doom merchant's.Carpet sales are increasing ie Carpetright and other retailers. The increased size of the group will benefit massively from this.I will be holding and looking forward to a good divi next year. GLA

It's been a phenomenal ride with VCP, bought in pre special divi last year in April and seen a meteoric rise that I didn't expect. I know the acquisitions have helped grow the company but on value and quality metrics its starting to look stretched IMO.

Thinking I might sell at least some of my holding pre results to lessen risk. 'Leave some upside for the guy your selling to' as they say.

Should make at least 10 million from current business.

so you can value it at 15x.

think its further to run.
