Hmmm, another scammy AIM stock?

CEO an ex-investment banker says it all!

Sells off family silver to return capital to investors and trigger a lucrative 'option' to get his hands on a lot of shares.

String of deals over just two years which has meant loading up the balance sheet with £60m of debt. Two years ago had no debt at all!

A year ago these were trading @ 140p. Next year they are forecast to do 93p eps. I doubt there are few that expected these were trading on a year fwd PE of 1.5 back then.

From Cantor on Friday:

"Significant potential for further acquisitions and synergies
There is, in our view, potential for synergies over the longer term, particularly when
the company starts to rationalise its manufacturing facilities. There is also opportunity
to acquire further businesses in existing markets and in Europe on compelling
valuations and businesses that are involved in tangential categories in the floor
coverings market. With the macro-economic environment improving both in the UK
and Australasia, we believe our earnings forecasts are conservative."

Target price increased from 1400p to 1650p.

H1 period ends Sep 30th so perhaps a trading update in Oct ahead of interims in Nov?

Victoria makes the lead story in the Sunday Times Business News. Really this has just been a share for a few stock market anoraks so far. Expect further momentum in the coming weeks and months for a rather tightly held stock.

From the 140p days with 295p cash back this is a dream.

Just as an example spob - the eps next year will be near to what the share price was this time last year

Basically it was trading on a PE of 1.4 or so - if you'd known then what's known now.

Instituttions queuing up to take loads of shares in a placing at no discout whatsover - tells you something imo.

Except the acquisitions are real businesses that make money spob, not dreamed up businesses created by Rob Terry.

And it isn't loads of shares going to key people to lock them in.

And it makes real profits - like Cantor now upping forecasts to 94p eps for the year ahead.

Painful watching it scream away without you ah? :-)

Co's H1 period end is the end of Sep then interims In Nov if as last year. Although the full year results were a month earlier than last year so perhaps scope for the interims to be out earlier?

Looking at those upgrades and adding in a bit for synergies and margin growth going forward, which the broker isn't factoring in then VCP should do over 100p a share eps next year, putting them on a forward PE of 13 or so for some pretty stonking growth.

All imo - AIM and illiquid and higher risk so you have to bear that into account too.

From Cantor:

FY17 forecasts are raised by 27%
Following the acquisition, we are raising our FY2016 pre-tax profit forecasts to £15.1m
from £11.5m taking EPS up by 18% to 72.0p and for the following year to £22.1m from
£14.0m leading to EPS rising by 27.3% to 93.3p. For the time being, our figures do not
include any upside from sales growth from a bundling together carpets and underlay
and synergies from greater efficiencies in logistics, headcount reduction and better
buying terms being obtained on raw materials

Placing done at no discount to the market price - looks like institutions were lined up for shares with saliva down their fronts :-)

Nice trading update from HEAD today - including:

""The positive trading outcome for the first half has continued during the first eight weeks of the second half. Subject to the important final quarter of the year, the group expects to announce results for the full year to 31 December 2015 slightly ahead of the Board's internal expectations."
