27/7/2018 09:30 | Good recurring revenue, good growth prospects over next 3 years will support good divi and give share price growth from these levels, | zipstuck
12/7/2018 20:54 | A confirmed H&S pattern has a target price around historical support at approx 101. Only approx 50% of confirmed H&S reach tp. | bamboo2
06/6/2018 08:17 | Worth holding for the dividend on its own, and there seem to be some growth prospects. | welsheagle
05/6/2018 16:33 | Agreed jeffian - I'd been on the verge as selling these as it all looked too dull, but having quickly read the results I'm much more interested. AFAICS broker forecasts are for c. 10% profit growth this coming year, but I suspect we might see some handy uplifts to that view. | kazoom
05/6/2018 16:03 | Results today were OK but the prospects are beginning to look quite bright. | jeffian
18/4/2018 11:47 | It doesn't take much to cause the price to drop, does it? | alan@bj
05/12/2017 11:32 | Vianet is a solid business with plenty of cash. It has not been exciting but the decent dividends get paid and the business is steadily developing. The new contract on which an RNS was issued recently has only just been signed and obviously comes into future periods. If you think the nature of the business is changing from what it was then you may want to invest. | salchow
05/12/2017 09:38 | Yes but playing it up as IoT is a clear attempt to get away from what is really a boring business IMO. If the allowance of remote access is the definition to call yourself an IoT company, then so should a whole host of tech hardware firms. The financials today have brought the market back down to earth. | dan_the_epic
05/12/2017 09:22 | Looks cheap to me on a fy18 PEG of 0.4 and a fy19 PEG of 0.6. Results look in line to me (what do others think?) but price not gone low enough for me to add. | firtashia
05/12/2017 09:21 | Vending technology allowing remote access. That is precisely what IoT is. | salchow
27/11/2017 12:50 | Obviously I should go to Specsavers! I saw Jeffian's post and jumped straight to the conclusion he was referring to today's market reaction. I didn't notice the date - Doh! | alan@bj
27/11/2017 10:33 | Have joined you here today. I just think the recent acquisitions and contract wins are a sign that VNET is about to enter a period of growth, having treaded water for a few years. There was also a large purchase of stock by the chairman in the summer, coupled with another (albeit smaller) purchase in August. The chart breakout is another positive sign, which first alerted me to ita couple of months ago. If I'm wrong, well I'm happy to pick up the dividend for a while to see how it plays out. GLAH. | firtashia
27/11/2017 09:18 | Alan, There was an acquisition on the 4th Oct - Vendman. The previous post refers to that, we had a nice leap in the share price then too. | site manager
27/11/2017 08:46 | It certainly does! The RNS sounded quite excited about it too. Although it's a big contract win rather than an acquisition. | alan@bj
04/10/2017 09:02 | Well the market seems to like that acquisition! | jeffian
26/9/2017 23:01 | Hi Alan. One of the points I always make to managements who rush to cut the divi is that shareholders will put up with an awful lot if they have a bit of income to sustain them through the hard times. A divi cut will slaughter the share price so it's a lose/lose. If it's unaffordable, that's a different matter, but if they can afford it, they should pay one. | jeffian
26/9/2017 19:27 | Spot on Jeffian. I've thought of selling a few times but it's a well-run company with a decent dividend, so boring seems quite good. | alan@bj
26/9/2017 19:04 | Positive statement today. They won't set the world alight but the maintained dividend makes it sufficiently attractive to hold the shares whilst the business grows. | jeffian
15/6/2017 10:19 | Dividend record date today | alan@bj
06/6/2017 07:40 | With 85% recurring income and the Exceptional Costs out of the way now, this year should be pretty good. | alan@bj
19/5/2017 16:06 | Don't know but the yield's quite high and investors are desperate for yield. Whatever the reason, it's welcome! | jeffian
19/5/2017 15:56 | Wonder why this has suddenly taken off? | alan@bj
16/5/2017 15:25 | Well it's been creeping up quite nicely recently. | jeffian
20/4/2017 13:03 | That's why I like divi stocks. It makes the waiting less painful. | jeffian |
