27/2/2020 16:40 | Thanks guys, will see where it goes. Potentially buy in some more . | kingwizard
27/2/2020 12:39 | king wizard - VNET is very illiquid, and it doesn't take much buying or selling to push the price up and down quite fast. But when things stabilise (and who know when that will be) we should see some institutional buying into any weakness. | galeforce1
27/2/2020 12:33 | Hearing that: (i) the share price decline is retail-led (not institutional). (ii) the company has not seen any impact from the coronavirus situation, either in client behavior or in the ability to deliver their products (as they have excess inventories for situations where there could be disruptions in supplies of components). It is important to remember that the company manufactures/assembl As such, it seems panic-related only and certainly overdone. | thomshrike
27/2/2020 11:35 | Any idea why the big drop today, trying to find some news. | kingwizard
27/2/2020 11:29 | last trading update extremely positive and not so long ago holding... | gswredland

26/2/2020 17:41 | Think we get a trading update towards the end of March | panshanger1
26/2/2020 14:18 | Held up well amid all the panic elsewhere. | tole
07/2/2020 16:23 | thomstrike - totally agree with your comments above. Vianet seems to tick lots of boxes - recurring revenue, growth, profitability, strong balance sheet, dividend. Liquidity is an issue. I think the best plan is to acquire shares and just hold on to them. In the end it is very likely to be bought. | galeforce1
07/2/2020 14:18 | I came across Vianet recently. It looks to me as an under-covered gem. Direct exposure to the IoT trend: growing and under-penetrated. Its product can be easily adapted to adjacent verticals. One-stop-shop, given competence in hardware + software and even contactless payments. Recurrent business is more than 80% of revenues. Great opportunity to grow in the US and selected european countries, also on the back of recently signed contracts with well-known clients. Scalable business given asset-light structure. Good FCF generation and dividend yield. Aligned management and shrewd main shareholder. Liquidity is an issue though. Very interesting. | thomshrike
02/2/2020 15:52 | Not come across treasury shares being sold back on the market. Did they do a buyback at some point? - if so at what price?. I guess it’s also a type of dilution as most would expect treasury shares to be cancelled at some point. Be interested in views on this. | zoolook
02/2/2020 10:26 | Sale of treasury shares has significantly reduced nett debt | ntv
21/1/2020 12:31 | Are those the reported trades thats been holding it back.. | tole
16/1/2020 10:27 | Surely time to buy sub 150p | its the oxman
23/12/2019 21:35 | Agree that the treatment of the deferred consideration release on the EPS stated in the Financial summary is confusing. Also concerned that Corporate Restructuring is treated as exceptional although a routine charge - and rising. The balance sheet is also carrying Capitalised Development costs of almost £5m - a significant write off waiting to happen. | rossco
20/12/2019 17:32 | Mind you, I'm not clear about why a "deferred consideration" has anything to do with EPS. This is part of the cost of buying a business so surely the impact is on the balance sheet? | jeffian
20/12/2019 07:56 | I have to say that Note 4 in the accounts deferred consideration should have been adjusted for in the EPS. Very misleading if people are attributing a PE value to it. Looking fully valued at these levels | zipstuck
16/12/2019 14:01 | panshanger - I don't think there's any reason to think that Lord Lee has sold out of Vianet. I just think he has focused on other shares in recent articles, like Charles Taylor Group and Tarsus. I think we just have to be patient and he will write about them in some future article. Great to see the share price rising quite fast. Small volume, though. If a serious seller appears it could reverse quite quickly. Hopefully that won't happen. | galeforce1
16/12/2019 13:22 | Nice move today - approaching all time highs !! | panshanger1
12/12/2019 12:30 | Anyone know if Lord Lee still a holder here ?He updates occasionally in the weekend FT on his dealings but no mention of Vianet recently | panshanger1
12/12/2019 11:44 | Good to see that all looks nicely on track here. H1 top line revenues up to £8.5m as I hoped and Smart Machines growing at 40% P/A. | galeforce1
12/12/2019 10:38 | I like it. Pithy phrases that stick in your mind like that can catch on in corporate culture. Encourages the sales team and developers to think beyond their traditional markets, for example. | zoolook
12/12/2019 10:31 | Who said that? I'm not sure whether to believe in this industry either, but so far so good. LOL. | bouleversee
12/12/2019 09:37 | "industry-agnostic" Now that's a phrase you don't see every day! Who writes these things?! Good results though. | jeffian |
