Went to the AGM yesterday. Only shareholder there!
Asked about low dividend cover. Chairman confident about future growth as in AGM statement plus cash reserves, so comfortable about maintaining.
US litigation expected to be completed by end of year. Board felt need to defend a legal challenge, with legal advice that they have a good case. Taken a conservative view on costs - all taken into P&L as incurred and as stated in Annual Report - but will be able to recover some from insurance.
Overall I feel confident that the company is making steady progress and better times are to come. Always with the high dividend as compensation for holding!

Ex-dividend yesterday, hence the fall. Final dividend 4p, total for the year 5.7p.

Yes, the yield is excellent and it's a low risk buy. I've held for 3 years and enjoyed healthy dividends.

Co now cash positive, increased penetration into beer market and big growth prospects in contactless beverage market....in anticipation of Brexit and all the baristas going home. To top it all yields 6% with good growth prospects ....this is an upcoming RFID stock in the guise of an old fashioned services co....as goods are delivered for IofT it should get a significant rerating. Yes, good that they are now talking about "growth" again. Years of upheaval in the pubco sector have made life very difficult for them but if that has now stabilised then this looks like a sustainable high-yield share.

Do any shareholders / investors on this thread have any experience (i.e. from attending AGMs etc) of James Newman who used to be a Chairman of Brulines / Vianet? I see he is now NE Chairman of Fishing Republic and just wanted to gauge any general feedback on him?

Within the UK, Vianet systems are deployed in Costa Coffee express machines and the firm is looking at aligning strategically with other customers.

We know how fast Costa Coffee is growing, machines are appearing all over the place, my local garage just got one.

Vnet are now installing nfc readers into vending machines, I can only see this growing especially with the advent of Apple Pay launching in a week or so. I can see all vending machines eventually going cashless. Security, maintenance, collections all cash and time saving by limited human interactivity.

I don't see any reason why it won't go to 140p, it's a very well run business.
iDraught is a fantastic system, a must for reconciling the till to pints poured.
News could hit the mkt any day
Commercial contracts with several national USA chains are also lined up, and a growth strategy is being developed to be actioned over the next two to three years


The fuel side is beginning to show it's strength by moving into profit, Asda and Morrisons are both customers.
Costa coffee express machines, Whitbread are driving this, can only see them appearing in more and more places.
