I hope not. I don't need a junior oil explorer in my portfolio. Might as well just buy lottery tickets.
Bloody odd setting out to raise money before anyone has the slightest idea where the company is going ?

I think with ORE which i hold , It's sentiment driven as with most goldies and juniour miners but the fact that the ceo is ed slowey and the fact hes a former rio tinto exploration manager and experienced miner shows that you need to stay patient as it was andrew nolan who brought in ed slowey and he holds a substantial shareholding.
VIY with him on board will slowly change direction and i expect it is looking to become a juniour oil explorer.

So here we are..today our fate is decided i suspect :-) The evil villain is gone, Twix has been saved by a knight in shinning Armour from his tower, the dragon is slain...Peace and harmony will now return to the kingdom of VIY. your scribe is poised to re write our heading as soon as he can fill in the blanks....."The world greatest_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Company" it will read :-).
all we can do now is sit back and wait for a messenger ! the meeting is at 11am

Might be an interesting week for AR, looking at the ORE thread it seems news on one of their gold leases is due, they claim there's significantly more gold at Mutsk than previous studies suggest. Samples have been submitted for lab analysis and results due. Could be a candidate for QRD using UAV's, nothing to suggest AR is fully behind developing QRD at the moment though, I hope we get some indication on Monday of his intent.

Hi bakky
Probably the quickest answer is on the VIY website. The last line is the key, its not what you know its who you know

Adam Reynolds, Chairman

Adam began his career in the City in 1980 with stockbrokers Rowe Rudd.

In 1998 he joined corporate Public Relations business Basham & Coyle heading their Investor Relations Division. In 2000 he established his own PR/ IR and Corporate Finance firm, which listed on AIM in November 2000. In 2004 the company was sold making shareholders 15X their investment.

Adam was approached in 2005 by the largest shareholder in International Brand Licensing Plc, the owner of the Admiral sports brand, to become Executive Chairman. Adam alongside the major shareholder re-financed the business. In 2009 Adam brought into the company David Evans and Julian Baines - the two leading diabetes specialists in the UK and the business changed direction. Today it is known as EKF Diagnostics Plc. Adam is a non-executive director and a substantial shareholder.

In 2009 Adam rescued and re-financed Medavinci Plc and turned it into a successful gold exploration company quoted on AIM. Adam is Chairman and a major shareholder.

In 2012 Adam through an institutional fund manager was introduced to Autoclenz Plc. In November 2012, Adam, with the management launched a successful agreed bid for the business to take private. Adam is Chairman and major shareholder of this business.

Adam has been named as one of the fifty most influential people in the City by Growth Company Investor and has the most in depth institutional following and backing.

can someone please explain just what AR has done in the past to suggest he will turn this around? Looking at ORE the share price graph looks a lot like VIY over the recent past...so why all the hype??

I doubt they are obliged but they would be silly not too take any publicity they can get. I say that, but they will have to update VIY, its whether VIY update their shareholders (us)

fair point.
its just sad after investing in the tech it is gone, would be nice to see it do well.
we still have 75% of it for now... and then less and less.

Are they obliged to update us ?

I suppose they cant really inform the markets of any plans till the GM and the vote to go ahead is passed.
Monday will be a huge clue as to how this company plans to deal/treat its shareholders, two choices, we are either in with the plan and seen as the owners of the company...or we are shut out again and lead up the garden path. AR only really has one choice given the past history here if he doesn't want to see the shareholders constantly pulling the rug from under him.

The fact that the placing was over subscribed tells us one thing for sure, that was a massive vote of confidence in AR because there is no confidence in the company !! how could there be as its just a letter heading. I cant believe it was a vote for Sandeep and his mob as they disappear in to the sunset. Therefore we can only hope that AR values his reputation as much as we do ? the over subscription says we want to work with him, lets see if he wants to work with us. Roll on the GM report.

exactly!
We have not been informed of any new contracts.....
And as all the previous ones are completed, just where is the money coming from?

Surely information is being withheld.

thanks for that twix, bloody obvious now :-)

Well i have an average of .902 now but TBH 1p is a long shot as that would mean a MKT cap of 20m ? for a company that doesn't do anything !! Its just a matter of choosing an exit price that limits the damage i think.
