Cant understand this at all. Only Artemis hold in the region of 30 million shares though there are 2 separate sets of Blackrock holdings which combine to approx 29 million. Surely if either of these had sold down completely they would RNS it? None of the major trades correspond to any other holdings.

Certainly very interesting situation.....has moved up nicely recently with some huge (and thus far unexplained)trades.

But even without this the trading environment remains very positive

Not sure if its relevant but there were approx 7 trades of significant volume. I'd assume this indicates they went to 7 different buyers which, as i've said previously, would be a positive in my opinion.

Its been very frustrating to see near record industry numbers and the company translate that into good figures but then see the shares stagnate. The company raised money at 60p 9 years ago and it must be very disappointing for holders then to see the company at that price after so much time. Worse still for those who subscribed in 2007 at 75p

Edit. If it is Blackrock it looks like they may have picked the majority of these up at 30p in the 2009 placing. Not a bad return if so.

So best part of 16 million shares sold today, or approx 4.7% of the company.
Assuming it was only one seller, these are the only holders who had in excess of 4.7%. Blackrock seems a fair bet given their previous unload recently.

SMMT Figures out today for month of January 2015 new car registrations:-
New car registrations grew for the 35th consecutive month in January, up 6.7% to 164,856 units.
Growth in company car registrations particularly strong, up 18.1% on January 2014.

Well under the radar this one and led by an excellent management team who always under promise and over deliver. Topped up by a further 20k today ahead of the next update..Nice to see a quite board ;-)D
